  1. Phase 3 Day 8 just .2 shy of 2# Where's the BEEF?

    More on the adventures of P3. Crazy up and down weigh ins. But I'm holding just shy of the magical 2# number.
    I'm thinking yogurt- FAGE may not be my friend, but seem to be doing okay with Lactaid milk. Just tried a tablespoon of cream cheese this morning. Macadamia nuts and Brazil nuts seem to be okay, but I'm thinking almonds and tahini are a bit on the shadow side for me. Store prepared chicken not so good.   2. R1P3D3 up another .4

    Getting real close to a steak day I guess. Or, just make myself eat real clean and mean.
    I'm finding that every time I turn around, it seems like I'm eating. How on earth can you rack up the calories without eating a whole cow? It's a challenge when you are lactose intolerant. Adding bunches of dairy, cheese, fage, etc. just won't cut it. I do try to add in lactose free milk and a tiny bit of cheese or yogurt. But, I find that it does really cause a bloat.   3. R1P3D2 Olive Oil I'm lovin' you

    Holding steady at 1.2 above LDW.
    I can't believe how good olive oil tastes. I made a salad dressing with olive oil and lime juice and no salt spices.
    It was simply awesome.
    Other than that I feel very carnivore like. Doubling the protein sure seems like an awful lot of meat. Watching my dairy intake as I'm lactose intolerant. Small challenges, but happy to have them. Seems like one big experiment right now.
    I can't believe how much better I feel without sugar and wheat ...

  4. R1P3D1 Not planning on any major hoopla

    Since I'm already up one pound from last drop day I'm thinking I better take it easy. I am however, going to enjoy my morning coffee with lactose free milk and probably sneak in a tiny bit of cheese today. Look out cocoa crack I'm all over you. Other than that, just doubling my meats.

  5. VLCD36 Moving into P3

    Blessed be, out of drops! Oh well, I think my mind and body are ready to move along to P3 anyway. So, final weigh in is up .4 pounds, probably water retention (PMS). I'm okay with it because 21 pounds in 35 days ain't too shabby. With a BMI of 23 for my height is about average. I'll see how P3 progresses and then make the decision about another short round or just living happily ever after at my stabilized lower weight (yes I am an optimist.)

  6. VLCD35 holding steady (surprisingly)

    Holding steady with no drop in weight. Not surprising as I doubled my protein yesterday and had some cocoa crack. Also had to taste test a small sliver of the Almond Meal Herb bread that I made. It's okay, tad bit salty for my taste. So, next time, I'll just cut back on the salt in the recipe. It's portioned and in the freezer waiting on P3. The flax meal muffins must be passable as my guy ate one with peanut butter and honey this morning and said they were "okay". Those are in the freezer ...

  7. VLCD34 still a loser

    Down another pound. Ah, all is good in the hhcg world.
    Interestingly enough, cutting back on dose of drops has helped with the hunger. I've also been getting lots more sleep.
    Dreaming of P3 foods...
    Lying low on the homemade yogurt experiment for today. A tiny bit of tummy distress, so I used the laser technique on it. Lactose intolerance sucks.

  8. VLCD33 .2 down and still tweekin' the menu

    I'll celebrate any loss at this stage as a great loss. Even .2 pounds.
    So I added in 2 tablespoons of 1/2 and 1/2 into my coffees yesterday. One in the A.M. and one in the P.M. Oh my how good was that?
    I needed a pick up in the afternoon from working outside all day. The wind was brutal and I felt like a dried out leaf at the end of the day. Actually drank more water by the end of the day than I normally do.

  9. VLCD 32 another drop

    Down .6 this morning. Going a bit rogue this last stretch. Upping my protein and eliminating fruit has worked these past few days. I just added 1 tablespoon of 1/2 and 1/2 in my coffee yesterday and this morning. I'm monitoring to see how this will work as well. I may even add in a wee bit of homemade yogurt today. Perhaps once I get closer to my goal, I'm one of those who may fare better on a slight upping of fat? I am fairly active all day long on work days.

  10. VLCD31 Whew. Finally made it to the magic 20!

    Okay. So that's an average of .645 pounds per day. Those of you getting discouraged might want to do the averaging thing as time goes by when the losses slow down. It puts the losses in perspective. Cheers you up on the days when the scale does not budge or inches up a point or two. Look at it this way; for most of us, the weight did not creep up on us over 30 - 40 days. Perhaps more like a few years here and there. I try to remind myself to be patient and forgiving to both my body and my mind. ...
