Interesting. I never heard of erythritol before but it sounds okay. Good to know. (Just an observation - your Blue Sky has more erythritol than Stevia in it but apparently those are the things that combine to make Truvia.)

No offense but I would never drink Diet Rite. Here are the ingredients on the cola: carbonated water, caramel color, sucralose, gum acacia, natural flavors, citric acid, potassium citrate, potassium benzoate, acesulfame potassium, and phosphoric acid.

Note that I did used to drink stuff like this a long time ago... anyway, this is just a buncha chemicals, some of which could be harmful to your health and/or cause an insulin response. It might "work" in that it might not hinder your weight loss but drinking it is totally counterproductive to the detox process. Drinking stuff like this is one of the things that screws up your body's ability to regulate itself in the first place.

That's a big leap to take. From soda to a tumor. No one can say that the soda caused it or had anything to do with it at all.

I feel 'ya Judy. I fret about not having a diet coke more than anything. It's my biggest craving. I know soda is not good for you, but since I've given up nearly everything else I enjoy I wonder the same.... What's the least offending and what will it do to my metabolism reset. :-)

I bought on of each Zevia flavor at Whole Foods yesterday. I'm on first week of VCLD. These drinks are wonderful but i may add mineral water sparkling to make some last longer.

I'm new to the forum also. I'm in on day 5 of phase 2 and have lost 7lbs according to my scale. Diet coke is the 1 thing I can't seem to give up. It doesn't seem to affect my weight loss so far.

were about the same!! good, i feel like its working then. LOL I have been drinking diet dr pepper myself.. my plan says its okay to have 2 cans max a day, even though I think that's a bit much, so i try to only do 1, or maybe none. I did just buy me some krogers brand crystal lighr (0 cals, 0 sugar) to try to help me with my water intake...

I totally disagree with your post. Because diet soda is only for those people who want to reduce weight. I personally use diet soda and i am satisfy.

    What?

As to the post about diet soda....yes, it was originally manufactured for people to have a zero calorie drink. However, the chemicals that they use in place of regular sugar are extremely bad for you. There are study after study about the effects from the chemicals to include it being a cause of weight gain. I am truly not meaning to be rude, but please do some research.

    Second this.

The aspartame alone will make you bloat like crazy. I only made that mistake once and reaped the consequences for 6 hours

uhm... as far as I know diet soda was made to cater to diabetics who refuse to kick their bad soda drinking habits, just like all the other sugar free junk food. It isn't meant for weight loss lol, it never was. people trying to watch their weight jumped on it like white on rice and now we have sugar free everything so this way people don't have to ever really kick their bad habits and take proper care of their bodies. Adult pacifiers IMO. Money talks.
