Can you get one of those insulated lunch boxes in case there is no frig? But I can't imagine there isn't a frig or microwave.
Most call centers have break times in addition to lunch breaks. Eat your fruit on breaks and your meal on your lunch break?
I start a new job on Monday and I'm on P2. What do you take to work and how do you pack/prepare it? I'm not sure what I'll have access to. I'm sure there's a refrigerator and possibly a microwave. I hope, hope, hope they have coffee! So far, I've come up with chicken salad. The chicken doesn't have to be warm and I can pack my dressing on the side (I use HCG approved Simple Girl dressing). The main problem is that the instructions that came with my drops says not to eat fruit with your vegetable and protein. So I usually eat it in between meals. Not sure I'll be able to eat at my work station.
Life was easier when I had a 9-5 office job and my own office! I'll be working in a call center from 3:00 to 11:00. Hope the callers won't hear my stomach growl!
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks for your response! I'm sure they have a fridge and hopefully a microwave. I was wondering what other people took to work but I guess there's not much to choose from. I was to avoid seafood because tilapia and shrimp smell. I figure I'll eat those at home and take chicken to work. Haven't tried lean beef yet because I've read some people don't lose with it. I think I'll play it safe and pack chicken and tomato.
I usually do chicken at work. Cucumber, raw spinach, lettuce or radish for the veggie, since they don't stink. But the radishes do make me burp
Raw shrimp don't smell too bad if you get bored with chicken every day for lunch.
I do beef without any issue. Just select it very carefully. I have a 95% lean grass fed ground beef that I use, otherwise I do a filet. You won't do too much damage by giving it a try. Especially if you think you need the variety.
Thanks, April Marie! I can't find 95% grass fed lean beef in either of my supermarkets. Guess I'll head to Whole Foods.
hi all. Starting round 3 after 1 year of bad maintenance. Started at 5'11---190lbs and was at 150lbs after one long and one short round. lost 40, gained 20 (ugh), back to lose 20 again. starting the vlcd1 tomorrow after a horrific loading day (I hate loading, although its supposed to be fun). alcohol is the biggest temptation, as I work in sales and networking regularly is part of the job. Hope to see more Oct losers chime in---the check ins are so important and so helpful during P2. Hope to make friends over the next 40 days and inspire each other, share recipes, troubles and successes.
I always take sprouts, chicken, and fruits on my working time. This will help to energetic and always fresh and also helps me to reduce my plus size figure. So, it is possible to eat this things, chicken should always microwave with some dressing on it. It gives you a taste as well as it won't be a spicy which is harmful for body.
Hi, I always have a protein diet because it helps me feel fuller and most likely tame my hunger for longer time. I also believe that it could help me in losing weight. My diet which consists of nutrient rich and lower in saturated fats and calories. Mostly, I ate lean beefs, beans etc.
