Hi James,
I'm a vegetarian...not quite a vegan as I do have milk in coffee and cheese but I am on my second round of HCG as a vegan. I WAS protein deficient when I started this diet because I couldn't eat protein sources available to vegans (pulses, beans, soy etc). However, I chose rice protein powder as my protein of choice for P2 and I've never felt better! I lost 27lbs in 25 days on my first round and I am close to 10lbs for my second round (I'm on day 21)...10lbs isn't great but I think it's that I am at a "normal" weight now (bmi=22) and I'm just trying to lose 3 more lbs...you slow down w/less to lose. I'm also running 4 miles 2-3 times a week in round 2...couldn't do THIS before! I find exercise gets your mind and appetite off thoughts of food
So this diet is def. workable for vegans. You do have more options than cottage cheese and soy and you do not become protein deficient unless you don't eat/drink about 70g protein a day...everyone seems to worry about deficiency...I'd never even approached 70g/day in my life so I was actually in excess!!! (for me

)
Anyway, good luck if you decide to try HCG after the holidays! It is REALLY worth it!!!
