Great job on losses Rachie! Thanks for the tip.
Hi everyone. I just wanted to share this little discovery, and there may be a thread related to this... I have glucomannan capsules in powder form. I despised the salad dressing recipes because they were mainly liquid. Chicken stock, lemon juice and liquid aminos will not stick to your lettuce. I discovered (with no stalls or gains) if you add a small bit to your mixture it thickens up and has consistency of dressing as if you added oil. it's a game-changer for me. Starting weight 202Lbs
down 17lbs in 18 days. Hope this helps

Thanks and you're welcome
Gluccomanan is the "flour" that miracle noodles (konjac noodles) are made from. It is completely fiber, and therefore has no calories.
If over used, it can gum up your elimination process, but a little powder sifted into liquids to thicken them is not enough to have that effect.
It does have a bit of a learning curve to get the right amount of thickening, as it it takes a couple minutes to fully gel. So its easy to over thicken at first....and then you have a gummy, gluey gravy or sauce instead of the silky, slightly viscous one you are going for. It is flavor-less.
Its not technically on protocol, but one of those things that is most likely benign.

Thanks Leez, very helpful info!
Thanks for explaining... and yes just a sprinkling does the trick.
The results are great. But by any chance there are no side effects in the form of sleep or eating disorders?
