elusha, your post made me wonder if a p2 rendition of chinese tomato beef would work well?![]()
I am only 8 days into my first ever round, but i am very familiar with the shirataki noodles, and get the konjac foods brand. Be careful not to get the kind with soy in them, or the hungry girl brand (at least not in p2). The thing with shirataki noodles is that preparation is key to how good they are. I personally stick to asian style preparations, and find that the texture works well with that. Though some enjoy them in the italian style. I made a video on how to prepare them, it's on youtube the recipe wont work, as i would've used sesame oil and things that are not allowed on p2, but you will get an idea of how to prepare them. If you google ginger tahini shirataki, it will come up
Oh, and the fishy smell- there's no fish, its calcium hydroxide, and the smell rinses off
these noodles actually are why i want to find out if braggs aminos are ok on p2...
I was so glad to see that hcg chica uses them! yay!

I'm about 99.9% positive she would not recommend them, especially not for P2. She advocates strict protocol.
I hate to "talk for her" but I just can't see her liking them.
I haven't tried them myself...but I may someday. I'd just have to make sure to read all about them first to make sure they don't end up tasting weird![]()

I used them R1P2 almost everyday and lost 13kgs - 28 lbs. At Asian stores you can also buy konjac in blocks and use it to bulk out things like desert. My sense was it was important to switch things around to avoid stall.
There are so many yummy asian style soups, salads that can be made with these noodles
This has off protocol elements for those who are purists but my latest desert treat is to microwave my strawberries, add about a tspn apple cider vinegar, stevia, cinnamon to taste - let it all mix for a while. This is quite yummy on its own if you want to stay pure. To create something even more yummy Melt 1.5 tspn coconut oil in microwave, add a small amount of raw cocoa powder and some coconut essence. Mix it all up. Put in a small bowl in freezer for a few hours. You can chop up little squares of konjac block and add in -has no taste but absorbs flavours and adds volume.

Hi ladies,
Ancient thread, I know, but I'm interested to know what size portion is allowed of the Shiritaki noodles as I'd like to try it.
Thanks,

I would like to know what amount in the Shirataki noodle or miracle noodles is used in 1 service?
Miracle noodes have zero calories, so that would not have a limit. Shiritaki noodles do have calories, so those would go towards your 500 calorie limit.
However, neither is on protocol, so it really doesn't matter as you will be experimenting anyway to see if they work for you.

I have used the shiritaki noodles, lost 80 lbs in 4 rounds, no problem (and my other rounds to take 20 back off). I use anywhere from half a bag to a full bag in a meal (depending on hunger). Some days it's half a bag with my protein/veggies for lunch the other half for dinner, other super hungry days I do 2 bags without issue. They are extremely helpful to not feel hungry/starving.
Started JULY 2015
Ended 4 rounds November 2016
-80 pounds!
I keep gaining 20 to 25 of it back, I take off 5 pounds myself and then I do a round and lose 20 lbs. So I have done a total of 7 rounds. I am on my 8th round, taking the SAME 20 lbs off. ugh. But at least I don't gain 80 back!

My Packaging say no Calory Noodles as well as Shirataki Noodles
And Calorie value for 100gm (half a pack/1 serving) = 2.6
I have about 3 packs in the house but have not used it as part of my meal plan....
May try it once and only if my losses improve again
