For anyone confused, there are two mug cake recipes in this thread:

The one for P2: P2 Sweet Treats
this Chocolate mug cake would be P2 friendly (if you consider cocoa to be a spice), but you need to add the additional 3 eggwhites in your meal to complete the protein portion.

The other one (with the coconut or almond flour and the oils) is P3 only.

Its one of those things that you can decide on for yourself. I didn't use it my most recent round, but have made a dip for my strawberries a couple times in other rounds without incident. I was careful to count the calories though and just to be safe, I subbed 1 T cocoa for half a melba. Although cocoa is part fiber, so thats probably overly cautious.

When I first began with HCG, my doctor had me get Linda Prinsters HCG Weight Loss Cure Guide book, and it has food charts that show what can be used duirng each phase, what cannot, and caution foods. Unsweetened cocoa powder is included in the spices list and in the YES column for P2. I've found those charts immensely helpful in deciding what might be safe or not in each of the phases.

I weighed myself this morning and was pleasantly surprised that I was down 3.1 lbs from yesterday. So although I know everyone's journey is different I believe "Sweet Treat" mug cake to be ok for P2ers =) !

All you can take from that was that it was ok for you, not for P2ers. LOL I would gain on a mug cake for sure. Too much fat in the almond flour and egg. You may do fine or you may bounce back up or stall now too. Or you may be fine. Everyone is different.
My expert Hcg Diet advice is based specifically on the original Simeons Protocol. Grammy's personal protocol:Grammy's Hcg Diet Protocol

That was my take on reading this thread, too.

P2 is the most unforgiving for me. If you want comfort and immediate gratification bad enough to "go rogue" and potentially gamble away your hard earned results, do so with assuming all liability and risk. I have kicked myself numerous times for wanting just a little "something something" and cheating is so seductive, as you only think it's just a little. Then before you know it, you're way off and are wondering what the hell happened. The risks I have taken were very carefully calculated, and when they resulted in a stall, I knew I'd have no one to blame but myself. Sometimes an entire round was blown over one mistake, I told you p2 can be most unforgiving towards me.

But a diet so austere that even mixing vegetables is considered bad, it takes a toll psychologically and sometimes you just want a taste of sweet to get by. And SF jello cups just weren't doing it for me anymore. So, I have devised a compromise that has helped (especially during some stressful times over the road, especially stressful times over the road WHILE on this diet!) If you don't have the discipline to stick to a little bit, it's best to skip this. I have called it "phase 2 chocolate delight". This won't be anywhere near P3 cocoa crack. Instead, this will actually take on sort of a mousse like quality, which is pretty amazing for no added fat. It's so simple. Living on a truck, it had to be:

You start with a single serving cup of nonfat greek yogurt. About a tablespoon of cacao powder. Cacao powder is ideal to cocoa powder, if available (I add 2 tbsp. because I like it intense). Use the most minimal amount of sweetener possible to your taste (I had "Pyure" stevia blend on the truck and used about 1/3 of a teaspoon when mixing into the cocoa). If you're willing to try (at your own risk), to give it more depth, body and a real fudgy flavor boost, add one packet of sugar free hot cocoa mix (I used Swiss Miss LIGHT. Not Swiss Miss 'no sugar added', I made that mistake for you already!). Fluff the cacao powder to flatten out any clumps and mix it well with the hot cocoa mix (if using) and add the desired amount of sweetener before stirring the yogurt in (do not discard the liquid). Then, adjust the sweetness to your liking. It might look like an incredible mess at first but hang in there for the final result! Somehow the texture transforms into a pillowy and almost rich, mousse-like dessert! As tempting as it might be to kill the whole container, I never, ever allowed myself to have more than 2tbsp MAX while on P2. As I said, it's just a little sweet to get you by. I will never risk results for having more of what I technically shouldn't be having in the 1st place, what a lousy tradeoff for all my effort!

When I was a pastry chef, I learned to "find the banquet in the spoon". Slow down and pinpoint all your attention to what you're tasting. It was a necessary discipline I had to learn, as working in a restaurant, tasting so many things so often for long enough of a time can make your belt explode. A LOT. VERY QUICKLY! That mindset helps make much more out of a little bit: "find the banquet in the spoon"... This tiny bit of "P2 choco delight" has yet to compromise my results. You can bet I was crossing my fingers when I got on the scale the next day, dreading what I'd find! But I kept losing at the same pace. That "batch" should have you set for a number of "fixes". Hope this works for you :.)

Gee, I guess I "cheated" quite often, then: I ate hard boiled egg whites quite regularly on P2, either as the protein for a meal or as a snack. 1 whole egg for every 3 whites. Still had good results, haha!
