The closer I get to ideal weight the hungrier I get....... I was thinking about having this for breakfast or for when I'm hungry in P2.
I read via my book to use Protein powders that are 4grams of carbs or less. I like the Jay Robbs Vanilla. It's better than starving and possibly cheating to have the protein powder. I can't work out and carry chicken with me all the time. Just not a reality.

I'm going to replace my meals with shakes in this next p2. I have body fortress vanilla whey, I love it. I got it on my last day of my lasy p2 and lost 2lbs my last hcg day, so I'm going to try a whole week if not the whole round and see how it goes.
I feel like the shakes are a lot more filling (I make a big one and sip on it for half the day), and I get more variety because I can make different flavors using fruit and unsweetened cocoa powder and truvia.
Anyways, my siggy will be updated when I start my experiment.
Been there, done that, gained it back, and here for good this time.

What protein shakes did you drink?

For those of you that swap your protein out for shakes, do eat the rest of the protocol foods too or stay with mostly shakes? Like I normally eat during the day then swap out dinner for a shake. Wondering how everyone else does it. TOday I am doing a liquid day though only shakes, no fruit or veggies (hate them so they are easy to cut out), if I can make it LOL

This is my ...well, technically my 3rd round on HCG. The 1st I lost 22lbs, the 2nd we were traveling every weekend and I kept breaking protocol...I lost and gained the same 8lbs over and over, so I finally went off for a few weeks and now I am ready to try again. I have read a lot of info on people doing just protein shakes all day as meal replacements. I would like all and any inof you guys have. I know it is not protocol, but I am sure it could stay within the 500 calorie/day requirement and there are many protein shakes out there that have no sugars. Honestly, a few years back I did a strict slim fast diet of 3 shakes a day and one protein slim fast bar a day and lost 40 lbs in 3 months! I seem to be able to stick to something like that. I am not very creative with coming up with meals revolving around the same food choice Thanks guys!

There are other GF/WF great protein shakes which are also VEGAN -aka Dairy FREE--many people cannot digest Whey protein. humans quit making enzymes after weaning age, about 2 yrs old. So many people have problems w/milk. There are hemp proteins, pea proteins, rice proteins, and others. Check out the protein shake threads under vegetarian. Just be sure it's either unsweetened or sweetened w/Stevia. If you can digest whey, ARIA protein is made by the same as the biggest loser protein, but is stevia sweetened instead of sucralose(aka splenda/poison)

I ended up buying the Jillian Michaels protein at Wally world. Our GNC here is sooo expensive for the Jay Robb!! But I may get it next. So thought I would tell you guys that after my load days, I started my shakes and after the first shake day I lost 5 lbs!! This morning (2nd day) lost 1.3 lbs. So far so good!! And I should say that for an extra thru the day boost, my morning shake I make with 1 scoop powder, 1/4 cup Almond milk, 2 tblsp cottage cheese and ice & water. For my lunch shake, I add a banana to the 1 scoop powder and water/ice. At dinner I eat a small boneless/skinless chicken breast...that's all. I know a good bit of this isn't protocol, but it is working.
My mom is on Doc controlled Hcg shots and he told her that as long as her calories stay 500-600 she can eat pretty much anything other than sweets, suger & startches or breads. All the fruits, vegetables and small portion meat she wants! He says Almond milk- not over a cup a day- is fine. He tells her that all fruits and vegetables are fine and CAN be mixed together. The meat thing is the same with him. He also said don't over do sweet fruits like peaches and the bananas, but otherwise it's all good!! She has lost over 20 lbs in a few weeks!!
I will keep you guys posted!! Thanks!!

    Question Want to clarify

So this is my second round... i actually drank the Jay Robb Shakes during P3 mt first round... im am considering drinking them for P2 after reading everyone's post. I just want to make sure I would have the shake say for lunch instead of my meat....and i would still eat a veggie??

Even though it said it was made from egg after I had the problem I looked at the ingredients and it had soy protein which is probably what caused the problem. It was also $20 for 10 servings!

I don't know about the protein bars but my honest recommendation is that you stick to the protocol especially if this is your first round so that you can really know how this works for you. In other rounds if you choose to experiment then you will know if it makes a difference.

The way I got around the gagging from eating chicken was to make a vinaigrette dressing from that recipe book and add some spices to it. It's really sweet (stevia) and actually made the chicken taste good.

    Vinaigrette Dressing
    1/4 c. apple cider vinegar
    1/2 c. water
    2 shakes celery salt
    2 shakes onion salt
    Ground pepper to taste
    20 drops Clear stevia
    3 packets stevia
Combine ingredients, pour into jar and refrigerate.

I didn't add the celery or onion salt. I have some Sweet Bell Pepper dip mix that's sugar free and that's what I put in the dressing.
Hi Linda, thank you for the dressing recipe.
