Has anyone tried Oh Yeah! protein shake? I saw a question that never seemed to be answered: has anyone replaced at least two meals with a shake and still lost weight in P2. I work overnights and for me this would be ideal and I can come home and eat a planned meal.

There's Oh Yeah! shakes!!??! I had no idea! I love their bars. I've used the Quest protein shakes both on the original protocol and the modified hcg 2.0 protocol. I've also used the HCG Diet Shake with no issues. On 2.0, the Oh Yeah! bars work for me, too.

edit: After looking at the nutritional info, I wouldn't recommend it. The shakes have 3G of sugar in it. It looks like it's a combination of milk sugar and Sucralose.

I'm following The Diet Doctors protocol/plan, which has been endorsed by this website, as evidenced by that annoying popup from them when you login.

The Diet Doctors recommended the shakes from Quest as an option, so I'm using those a lot and they are really delicious - low carb and high protein, sweetened with Stevia.

I inject 200 iu daily, per the doctor consult and prescription from them, and follow a 700 calorie diet with very strict macros, designed to get you into ketosis.
I'm on VLCD 9 and this a.m. had lost a total of 9.4 lbs, so it's working for me.
Clothes are much looser and I feel much lighter.

    MY STATS:
Beginning weight 175.2 and current weight 165.8.
I'm 5'8", 56 YO and I and want to get down to 140 or close, which is where my weight stayed for 20 years easily, before I got Lyme disease and gained 35 lbs in 2014.

Only the HCG purchased from Diet Doc is recommended by this site as being safe and of the best quality. We do not endorse the programs or dosing practices of any of the recommended suppliers. We try to give our input based on the original protocol, Pounds & Inches. (The link is available in the top blue menu bar) However, we do our best to support members who choose to try the different variations. We want you to be successful.

Diet Doc has an altered version of the protocol which as you mentioned, is higher calorie and much higher protein with a different allowed foods list. It is intended to get you into ketosis. Several people doing their program are seeming to have a good experience with the 200iu dose, so I'm thinking that may be because of the higher calories. Just a guess though. People doing the original protocol usually find that dose too high.

I'm glad you are having success with them, but just wanted to clarify for those reading that we always recommend following the original protcol that is synopsized in grammy's article here: https://hcgdietinfo.com/grammys-hcg-diet-protocol/ It has been proven over and over to work for just about everyone, no matter what their health issues.

The admins are working on the "annoyingness" factor of the pop up. Hopefully, it will soon be made more forum-friendly.

DietDoc apparently has their own protein shake. I'd love to hear a review from someone that has tried it.

That makes sense about only endorsing the HCG and not the plan behind it given the fact that it flies in the face of the original protocol.

As a client who purchased from The Diet Doctors, you talk with a doctor initially to get your prescription, then you later have a call with a nurse to explain your macros and answer any questions.

I'm administering the HCG dose the doctor prescribed and I'm following the only diet they sent me.
I like that they send you a food shopping list and also a rather large cookbook - all PDFs via email.

Many have had success with the Jay Robb protein powder. It can be used in place of your meal protein. We were experimenting with this 7 years ago when we found some people actually increased their losses when substituting with the Jay Robb protein. Please be careful taking just any protein powder. I believe the reason the Jay Robb does not cause problems with some on the diet is because it is sweetened with Stevia and has only 4 grams of carbs per serving. A small melba toast has 23 grams of carbs by comparison. Also the egg white protein powder gets its protein from egg whites which are allowed on the diet. GP

It had been a few years since I have been on the hcg and tried the protein powder. My wife and I recently started another round to lose some of that pesky weight that we had gained back, and decided to get some of the Jay Robb and use it when we needed a quick meal without having to cook. Took my first serving yesterday for lunch. Down 2 lbs this morning. The stuff tastes fairly good (we have strawberry) but definitely has a froth on it you either have to drink down or let settle a while before drinking. Probably wouldn't be as bad if made with ice in the blender possibly. Going to break out the bullet blender and see how it does mixing it with ice. Be advised that the Jay Rob protein is not cheap. Like $42+ for a 24 serving bag. So close to $2 per serving.

That's a bit more expensive than the Quest Shakes, which have 29 servings and cost on Amazon (before shipping) about $36 per canister.

To me they taste really fabulous-- but I blend them in my blender with cold water and a bit of ice, sometimes adding frozen strawberries as my fruit.

The macros are good: 21g Protein, 3g Net Carbs, 2g Sugars, <1g Dietary Fiber, 100 Calories, 0g Fat

For what it's worth, the Quest shakes aren't very clean. They contain sucralose, carregeen and sunflower lecithin. Jay Robb shakes are cleaner, no artificial sweeteners. The best pick would be a 100% egg white protein or grass fed collagen (Great Lakes good brand). You can add your own vanilla extract, or cocoa and Stevia, fruit, blend with ice.

    thanks for the info!
Interesting and definitely something to consider.

I'm of the opinion that despite the cost, having a shake (of some kind) makes sticking to this diet so easy because it feels like a treat or dessert.
I've been to a point where I would gladly pay $100-150 a month to lose weight without extreme hunger, so having shakes to help lose and even to maintain the loss, is a bargain in my book.
