Thread: I cheated

    I cheated

Today is day 9 VLCD and it has been going great. I am down 11lbs until tonight at dinner. I broke down and cheated. I had Taco Bell. I feel soooo discussed with myself. In some ways I do miss the fast food and all the junk but I feel so much better eating healthy, and not to mention the money I have saved. But I am so upset with myself. Where is my willpower? I want this to work so bad but why do I give in? I have been making excellent meals with spices and different recipes so why did I veer of track. I can't look back I can only move forward but how can I stop this from happening aging?

One way to stop it is to stop being so disgusted with yourself, but look clearly at why you did it. You didn't murder anyone and you aren't a terrible person. You just ate some food that wasn't on your plan. No big deal. Why did you eat Taco Bell? Were you hungry? Did you fail to plan and cook a protocol meal? Did you have a difficult day? Did something upset you? Is it near TOM? Were you out with friends who were eating and the temptation was just too much?

Figure out why you did it. Then figure out another way to deal with it if that situation arises again.

    I cheated

Were you already @ Taco Bell for another reason ? Or was the food already there staring you in the face. Any of us might fall off the wagon if the food was right there tempting us on the spot. But there is nothing that would make me get in my car & actually drive somewhere to pick up 'bad food' while I am on hcg. You need to really look at this as bordering on fast food addiction., and see what you can do about it. Otherwise your losses that you do have will end up being for nothing and going away quickly if you don't get this type of situation under control . Please see what you can do about this, we all want to succeed and see others like yourself do so as well.

Don't beat yourself up over it. Look at the long term. You went 9 days and cheated once. That's pretty good in my opinion!!!!!!! You will probably cheat again- AND IT IS OK! Fast food is my one downfall and I hate it. I have to drive past a bazillion fast food signs everyday calling my name. It is so hard, trust me I know! Just keep moving forward and don't look back. It happens, and life goes on. Also, if you need to cheat- if you just cannot handle not getting fast food- then go to taco bell, but instead of getting the Chalupa meal in a large size with 3 extra taco's- instead get something from the cantina menu or get a chalupa meal small size or something. Just moderate it more. the more you get away from eating fast food- the less appealing it becomes and the more it will make you physically ill when you do eat it.

Thank you! I'm struggling. I don't want to cheat and I'm not hungry but I think it's the habit or the addiction that I need. I have lost 15lbs but I should be down more. I go in for my weekly check up and I know what they are going to say. But all in all I'm down 15 and that is pretty damn good in 3 weeks. I just really need to stay focused and try to figure out why I cheat or why I want to. It's more mentally now for me and that's a challenge.

Definitely boredom. What do you cheat with? I usually eat more protein or drink water so that I won't cheat. Or find something to do. I use to chew on sugar free gum as well.

I wish I could like this post a million times.
Started my HCG journey on March 16, 2011

Just for the record, no part of this journey is for the weak.
