Planned Interruption or Wrap It Up Early?

My family ended up in Mexico for Father's Day weekend, and since I couldn't take my Hcg with me, I opted to take a break (no fridge at the hotel, road trip, and TOM so 2 skip days were the best option) but....

On the way home, we were in a car accident and someone hit us pretty good. Luckily, my toddler was fine but hubby and I both have concussions and back/pelvis injuries. I spent the day in the ER yesterday, trying to have a good sense of humor about the fact that they were asking me my zip code and I kept telling them my phone number lol. Needless to say, I was told I definitely have a concussion but should be back to normal in "a few weeks."

I'm wondering if I should go into P3 early and wrap up my round (I really don't want to- I have been having such a great round!) OR.... if I should continue this as a planned interruption and see how I feel in another week or so.

Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. In the meantime, I apologize if any of my posts swap words and numbers like a mad woman! I'm re-reading these things 30 times and still finding goofy errors! :P

Why not continue the planned interruption and assess at the max--2weeks? You don't have to decide this until then. And especially with cognitive symptoms, it might be a good idea to put off any decisions.

Your brain needs fats to heal, so enjoy those good P3 heathy fats while you recover! Boy, life does tend to intervene on our plans, doesn't it?

Oh Jeni, I'm so sorry! What a relief that your little guy is okay though. A concussion doesn't sound like much fun at all. It seems a good idea to me to evaluate how you feel in a week. If you're still struggling then I'd end it. Sometimes life happens and it's best to attend to your health. That's basically what I'm having to do after this badly broken ankle. I can't even monitor my weight since I can't stand on the scale with one foot. LOL So I'm trying to eat bone building things and not worry.

Your health is the most important thing right now. Make sure you're getting plenty of fats and protein as you heal. Praying for you!

Take that time Jenya! I suffered a concussion about day 29 in a round last year and hung in with P2 for another 4 days but it was tough and the inflammation from the injuries shut down all my losses.
My neurologist said recovery is around 6 months.
What Leez mentioned is very important, healthy fats do help you heal.
glad your little guy is ok, hope you and your DH recovery goes well.

Thank you for this guys! Ok, so I feel confident just waiting then, and hanging out in a P3-friendly chill out for a few weeks.

Grammy, how is your ankle? I hope you are healing, yourself.

Kudos to you Tracy, for continuing your P2, despite the concussion! Wow! I feel so crummy and can't keep my head on straight at the moment. I actually slept until 1 pm today! I just could not wake up, and I feel so nauseous. The doctor gave me something for the nausea but even the thought of taking it makes me queasy.

Ok, so I'm breaking out the avocado and salmon, in small portions. Cheers!

Oh that sounds yummy. I do miss my avocado toast on Ezekiel bread. August can't come soon enough for my P4 :-)

My ankle is healing but I seriously hate the boot they put me in. LOL I was dismayed to learn I basically will be spending 6 weeks non load bearing and another 6 weeks in a partial load bearing boot. I must have really done a number on this thing.

    I hope you're feeling better!
