    Extreme Dry Skin

Hi - I have extremely dry skin. My body hasn't been the issue - I've been using baby oil and it has been "ok" where the problem is - is my face. I've purchased the oil free nutrogena line - but my skin has turned into this dry peeling mess no matter how much lotion I put on. I live in Canada - so sometimes I have difficulties finding unusual products. Anyone have any advice. I don't want to walk around like some peeling freak for 23 days (especially since I will likely have to do several rounds).

    Thanks,

    Karen

Well in desperation I went to the health food store. The lady there talked me into trying Aloe Vera Gel. It seems to be working - and it is helping my rosacea. YES.

The problem with the Neutrogena oil free cream is that it is specifically made for acne and oily skin problems, so it has ingredients to dry you out. Try another oil free moisturizer. I like the Alba oil free moisturizer -- while not as great as the one I usually use (full of oils), it is tolerable on my extremely dry skin. You can get it at Iherb, which ships to almost any country. PM me if you want a $5 off code.

    Round 1(9/12) 23 pounds in 30 days! Round 2(1/13) 19.3 pounds in 23 days! Round 3(3/13) 20.5 pounds in 28 days!
Back for Round Four: The Mulligan (Week 1 released 6 pounds! Week 2 released 5.2 pounds!)

I use cornhuskers lotion... it is oil free and works pretty good for rough hands and feet.

I would not use mineral oil (baby oil), first of all, it is a by-product of petroleum distillation. It sits on the skin and blocks your pores, which can interfere with your body's normal elimination of toxins through the skin. I too have dry skin and not being able to use my regular products during this diet really had me worried! Especially since my face and my skin are my business! But I am using oil-free moisturizer, Arbonne FC5, for my face and aloe on my body and so far so good (10 days into p2 and down 10.4 lbs.). Still looking forward to going back to my regular products!

I have a very dry skin and a deficiency problem of vitamin and oil. Doctor has suggested me to take the healthy food and use a lot of oil in my hairs mostly. So, which types of healthy food I should go through.

I use baby oil gel and coffee grinds to help exfoliate the skin. Makes a mess, but works great!
