none of us would know with all those unrecognizable ingredients. LOL If it says oil free, then that's fine.

I love Smashbox cosmetics and use them. They are fine to use during protocol

I use smashbox, mac, benefit, neutrogena... really pretty much every cosmetic line in Sephora lol - No effect on my losses. Same on days when I wear makeup, as days when I do not wear makeup.

For conditioners and skincare... I use TONS of conditioner, usually catwalk or john frieda- no effect on my losses that I can tell. I've checked the differences on days when I did not use it and there doesn't seem to be any difference.

Skincare- I use neutrogena, skinceuticals, shiseido sunscreen, and even plain coconut oil. No effect on my losses. (Yet, if I eat coconut oil, I stall. I am jealous of those who find it beneficial for their digestion while on P2- I can't seem to get away with that.)

Over the last 15 years since starting HDI, I have read some interesting theories on the use of personal care products while on the hcg diet- the most interesting one, was on the fact that a larger number of oils and fats (particularly animal byproducts) were used in beauty products back in Simeons day. I'm only in my early 40's so I can't speak from experience, but I do recall my grandmother slathering on "day creams" and "cold creams" that were heavy in oils and I wonder if they didn't have animal fat in them. I wish I could ask her what on earth that stuff was! (She always had beautiful, plump skin but had that Grandma perfume smell lol)

I'm curious if anyone here is familiar with products that were used "back in the day" when Simeons originally wrote the manuscript; particularly in Italy where he was from.

Oh, what I wouldn't give for a single interview with Dr. Simeons today!
