    What's the deal??

I went on the diet in early May of this year and completed my first round in the middle of June - I lost 25 lbs and was thrilled! 1 week into the diet I had my period like normal but I have not had my period since. Not the worse problem to have but of course it causes you to worry that something is wrong. I feel okay but have been a little concerned about it. Also, I am noticing more hair loss, too right now. I have thick hair so its not noticeable but I wish it would stop. Glad to know I'm not the only one!

I wanted to do one more round in the next month or so but wondered if I should since my period has been absent....

I was happy to find this thread. I did HCG in July 2011 and loved it (the injections) and I haven't had my period since. Due for it next week so we'll see. My doc said everything looked fine and could just be the hormones but she also had me get a pelvic sonagram since I have family history of ovarian cancer. All was fine. I have had the hair loss as well. I do wish there was more info on why this happens out there because it is a little worrying. For now I'm going to think positive and enjoy not having my period and all the things that come with it!

Here is a great thread on hair loss: http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforums...3/index11.html awesome suggestions on supplements for the hair loss. I had some on my last round, but thankfully it has slowed down. I started this round with all my supplements plus some! Also, I know it sounds strange but I rubbed castor oil on my scalp for a few months religiously and it really helps with new growth

I read somewhere, but for the life of me cannot remember where, that the lack of fat intake during P2 could contribute to hair loss into P3 and P4. I lost more hair than normal for a couple months about a month or so after completeing P2. I completed P2 mid May, and my hairloss increased from June to August. I have reason to agree with the lack of fat theory since the "abnormal" hairloss has stopped for me. I always have some hair in the drain, I have thick curly hair, but for a while I was loosing wads the size of a small rodent. We are back to the normal small amount I'm used to now. No more rodents LOL.

I started hcg back in september of this year. It was the second time I have done the diet. My results the second time were ok with a loss of 18 pounds. November came and my period was late by 12 days. My starting date for my period this month (december) was to be 15th, but nothing yet. I have had bad cramping and nausea, my usual TOM side effects but nothing else with it. I guess I will be waiting it out a little longer until I take a pregnancy test to make sure, but with the problems I have getting pregnant is not likely. I just want my period to come so that I can get back to normal again.

Maybe you actually are pregnant. But, my question is, if the hcg is in your system still can't that give you a false positive if you take a home test? I wonder if you should just go to obgyn so that they can test you? Blood test or at the most an ultrasound. It might be a good idea to make an appointment anyway because if you aren't pregnant maybe something else is going on hormonally or physically(endometriosis or fibroids).

    Menopause or not? Ha

I couldn't remember how to post my own question so I'm adding one here if that's okay. I did around in July of last year lost 28 pounds. Then decided to do another round to lose a little more this month. I am 48 and haven't had a period in a year. I just started my period yesterday for some reason out of the blue. Not sure if it has anything to do with the shots but I have gained the past 2 days and have been strictly protocol. Should I stop my shots while I'm on my period and resume after? Or just keep doing them? I don't really know what to do. Any help is greatly appreciated

Most people don't stop during their period. I would just keep pushing on. Good luck!
