Hello everyone,
I want to start adding exercise into my routine and wondered what has been your experience. I'm on my first round (tho I am familiar with the protocol from the past) day 6 of VLCD, I am not experiencing hunger, my mood has been pretty good, not experiencing big losses. The sun has come out and I went for my first walk in a long time. I have also been thinking a lot about using that gym membership of mine again. I'm curious how careful I need to be about adding in exercise when I haven't done it in a while. For instance, if I continue to feel as good as I have thru out the rest of the day, can I increase my walk the next day? Or should I keep the intensity the same for a few days before increasing? Or maybe it's not even necessary to think about it so much? I am just really happy I have some motivation to move, but I also don't want to set myself up for any struggles.
Thanks!
Hey I'm working out too! I go for long walks in the morning and some nights I'll go to the gym. I don't attend the classes I used to because they would be waay to much on only 500 cal. I do some light cardio like the elliptical and then some weight training. Weight training is something I can't give up I've been doing it for a while. I think the reason I don't look how much I actually weigh is because of it I guess.
The important thing here is to listen to your body. Make sure you don't go too hard because it could really hurt you. And don't attend any cardio classes especially crossfit
Drink lots of water and have a fruit after is what keeps me going
Hope this helps.
Btw I started walking around the block then the local park which had a big area and now I walk about 3-4 miles each morning depending on how I feel
