Is diet or exercise more important for weight loss?

How much diet and exercise can impact for weight loss or there is any other easy way to come in shape again. If diet and exercise plays a vital role then suggest something on this.

actually over the age of about 30 its hormones, not diet or fitness that determine weight loss. the phd study, why we get fat does an extensive literature review. worth a a read, diet and exercise play a very small part of weight loss. dr oz touches on it in his book you on a diet, in the middle, its nice to eat clean food and do some exercise, but hormones determine weight.

How much exercise do you want to do on the diet and what type do you want to do? I ride my bike 12 miles at a time, but some days I feel weaker due to few carbs, so I skip it.

Not really sure what the point of this thread is. Was there a question? People on hcg don't need exercise to lose weight.

I have been told that you do not need to exercise on this diet, but I have also read that you should get 30 minutes or so a day of light exercise, like walking, to keep your metabolism up. I believe I read that as being part of the protocol... But I can't remember. Anyhow, I think that if you feel good, go for it!

I am a healthy 61 year old who has worked out daily for years. I either walk the dog, do a more strenuous treadmill workout, or hike. I'm 30 lb from my goal weight and lost about 30 with Paleo. I'm in R1, P2, day 5, 10.4 lb lost so far. I noticed on day 4, my treadmill work was a real effort and I felt terrible for awhile after. I had to walk around for several minutes, I was very winded and had to really cool down before hitting the floor to stretch out. Today, I scaled way down and still struggled to last my usual 40 min. Is this normal? Any suggestions? Am I missing a supplement (I take a lot) that I need to add in?

For losing weight exercise and diet both are important tools and with exercise we should reduce the amount of calories in the body. It's good to eat Simple Food like vegetables, fruits because there are low calories in these foods.

Combination diet with exercise is best way to lose weight but you must drink a lot of water , water is our best friend......

Ellyn, I realize this is a really late reply, but in case anyone is reading...I back off exercise during HCG, then when I'm about a week into p3 I start building back in a regular routine.
