CBD oil, Carmex, and Liquid Amminos... can we use these during P2?

Iím just now starting HCG injections again. My previous experience was prior to having a baby and subsequent hypothyroidism. A lot of things have changed so just wanted to ask a few ďrefresherĒ questions.

I take CBD oil for sleep as I have severe insomnia. Iíve also read CBD oil can help with weight loss but the company I get mine from doesnít make any allegations to weight loss. It has coconut MCT oil in it... anyone heard if itís okay to use? The dosage I take is 0.5 mL per night.

Carmex... I am totally addicted to chap stick and Iíve read Carmex is okay because the ingredients prevent it from being absorbed. Any feedback on this?

Lastly, liquid amminos. Iíve read they are okay in moderation. I know so many spices have hidden carbs and starches so Iím trying to find something to add some salt flavor.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

CBD oil. Is oil. Not recommended for P2. You can get away with tiny amounts of oil in P2 (like the amount in a teeny Vitamin D capsule) but you don't want to push it too much. However, if you feel it is critical, one way to make it work could be to eat very low fat proteins (shrimp, white fish) exclusively, which have even less fat than chicken breast or veal or egg yolk. That would allow you a little bit of leeway for the CBD oil.

Carmex: the first ingredient is petroleum then an oil (lanolin). Better to just use vaseline. Or beeswax.

Braggs Aminos: a highly processed soy product. I would personally not use it. Himalyan pink salt has a lovely flavor. So does Celtic gray salt. You could use that instead. The added bonus is that you will be getting needed minerals and not just adding a form of MSG to your food. I usually add a pinch to my glasses of water during P2 to help keep electrolytes balanced and to get better hydration.

Could you use it successfully? Possibly. Everyone can react differently. Coconut aminos would be a healthier choice. But neither is on protocol, so you would have to just try and see how you do.

Good luck! I wish CBD oil helped me sleep, but alas, no joy there. Sleep is really important to weight loss, so I hope you are able to sleep well enough during P2.
