    Question Diabetes and HCG diet

I’m newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and take an oral medication. After 1 month of fairly strict low-carbing and taking this medication, I’ve lost a grand total of 2 pounds. HCG has worked for me in the past. Would it be safe to start up again at this point?

If this is not the right place for this question, can someone direct me to the right place please? I’ve been searching for half an hour and no joy.

    Thank you.

Yes it is safe to do the HCG diet with type 2 diabetes, and you do not need to modify the menu.

Generally, the HCG diet is a whole foods diet and has a positive impact on blood sugar.

If your doctor is monitoring you, he may agree to stop the meds during the diet. You may find you don't need them with sufficient weight loss.

Thank you, Leez! I was shocked that I had only lost two pounds in a month. So I’m excited to try the HCG again.

Sad reality. Insulin resistance is the culprit. It pretty much prevents significant weight loss.

Thankfully, you should lose fine with the help of the HCG.

    Hello 2ndfiddle,

I am a type 2 diabetic, and I have used hcg safely and successfully in several rounds. Leez is right, insulin resistance is your weight loss enemy. I follow a ketogenic diet to control my t2d, without medications. You can follow protocol, but I eliminate the breadsticks and keep carbs as low as I can. Good luck!
