    Eating all this plain?

I can't picture how to make a "meal" out of all this... I mean some people do soup and such but you can't mix veggies and no place in the Pounds and Inches am I finding chicken broth and such. How does one even eat salad without dressing of some kind?

Broth....I boil my chicken on sunday in a pot of water full of onions and spices. When it is done I take my chicken out and put it in freezer bags in single servings. I put the pot of water in the fridge...after a while the top layer in nothing but the fat....I skim that off then I put the remaining water ( I put big pieces of onion in so I can just take that out) put it in a old water jug so I have pure chicken broth on hand.

Salad dressing... I use pure mustard mixed with water and sweetner of choice to make a dressing much like honey mustard dressing. It is great on chicken salad.

On my shrimp salad I use apple cider vinegar.

Look down a bit on the 1st menu place and you will see a place called eating on HCG...there are some great cookbooks on there to help you thru.

I do the same as Pink for making soup... I do a beef one too but pretty much same method.
One key to success is spices... If you go with mixes you have to be very careful with ingredients but, garlic powder, onion powder, Sea Salt (in moderation), Red Curry, Yellow Curry, Paprika (I like it on fish), Ground Ginger, cinamon, cumin, Sage, Basil, Oregano, etc...... you can get a lot of mileage and different tastes from just sprucing up your spice rack.

I've become addicted to spices and herbs during P2. Ground ginger is amazing! As is cayenne. If you make some plain chicken broth (I cut the fat off chicken breast and simmer it with rosemary and a 'whole' half onion, then remove everything from liquid and chill - I almost never have any fat on top to skim), you can simmer both chicken and vegetable in the broth, spice it up with some seasoning and have it like a stew. Or stir fry it with chinesey spices. You also have use of apple cider vinegar, mustard, frank's hot sauce, the juice of one lemon, your fruit (some folks incorporate apple or orange into their dinner). It's not as limited as you think at first. Read the cookbook for some amazing sauces and dressings!!

You all have given me hope. By chance did any recipes come out of the first clinic?
