Thread: Anyone Else Loading and Starting the VLCD in May 2011?

    Evening all! I see a bunch of new ppl-ya!
    I lost another 2lbs yesterday,and I'm super excited because I lasted thru going out to eat and dairy queen after- and did not indulge w/anything! and got rewarded with the scale this morning!!!

    But goodness it took all I had to not ask my son for a couple licks off his choc&vanilla swirled cone that happened to be covered in sprinkles....mmmmnnnn
    HCG-- 10drops x 3times/day
    HCG-- Loading days: 5/07-5/08/2011

    Starting Weight(after loading days)-- 175lbs.
    Goal Weight-- 140lbs.

    VLCDWeek1: -10
    VLCDWeek2: -4

    WAY TO GO! Just make up your mind. If your hcg is working for you, the cravings aren't too bad to deal with, UNLESS YOU CHEAT, and then that changes the game plan. SO PROUD OF YOU!!!

    someone asked about the Almond flour etc. Keep searching. I don't remember, but I don't use it, yet. I will, but bread is not a problem for me except that I hate it. The Vets of hcg know all. they can answer you. Go to Questions for P3. They are really good about getting right back to you, and then share what you find out so we can all know. Thanks.

Introduce a larger portion of P2 foods then gradually build up to other approved foods. But, remember to increase those calories, too few calories causes gains. Keep a food journal of portion sizes as well as foods eaten and the reactions you have to them. Anyway. That is what I've learned. And this time I am going to apply all that new found wisdom so P3 will be kinder. I did stabilize after round 1 so I know it can be done. Hope you all realize how important all this encouragement is from all of you.

    Maxine, I'm so glad you mentioned going in a cruise & loosin that 6 lbs!!! I'm leaving for the Bahamas tomorrow, & it gives me hope that I can, actually, loose, while I'm gone! The biggest challenge has got to be eating out, every meal!!! I'm scared to death!!! Please tell me its gonna be ok!!! I guess I just need to put on my big girl panties & keep telling myself, "I can do this!!!"

    I'm soooo proud of you guys!! Temptation is so hard to deal with! I'm off to my wool festival, hopfully I can eat fairly well. Im gonna pack an apple so I have a little breakfast and won't care about the wonderful smells of the food vendors Wish me luck! I don't want to ruin the awesome progress I've made!! Another pound off the morning!!

    Kells ~ you will be fine. Remember to drink your water. Lots of it. I was in P3 while on the cruise. While on the ship I had absolutely no problem. The food was plentiful and fresh. Lots of fresh fruit. I took an apple from the food court for while I was on shore. I just stuck to salads on shore with protein. Watch out for fatty fish and stick to lean mean. On the ship I stuck with sugar free ice cream to get in a little fat. I didn't like yogurt there. Just use your head. lol...I took my scale. The only time I could weigh though was when we were docked. lol you should try standing on a scale with the ship clipping along. It's rather fun! So jealous. You are going to have an awesome time! Can't wait to hear about it when you return.

    Good luck! How fun! today we are planting a huge garden with our prego dtr. We moved our main garden last year into grow boxes since our family has gone from 8 to 3. So the married children want to use the other spot for them since they live in a condo with small patio. It was such a beautiful day/night yesterday. We didn't want to come in to go to bed because the evening was so pleasant. Now I remember why teenagers like to hang out all night in the summer. This has been one cold, wet, long winter. So glad its over. Enjoy your event and drink your water or some tea. Come report back when you return. Return and Report is part of the success of this diet.

    woke today to another loss of 2.2! I'm still losing weight regained after liw. and of course the first day was the load weight. I am taking B Complex vitamins this time. feeling so much better. however, it's only the beginning. I just don't want to get so fatigued like I did last time. My dh has been worried. I am excited to report though that I discussed a few things with my sis inlaw last night. She is a nutritionist and put his worries to rest some. We discussed the virgin coconut oil and she said it's good. The stevia is good too as it's an herb. She said sugar is better for you than any of the substitutes, meaning MAN MADE. They are like poison. I believe I already knew most of this. She said nothing about my weight loss, (have not seen her for a few months), but then she is polite like that and probably didn't want to point out how heavy I had been. Lots to do today. I'd better get going.
    HAVE A TERRIFIC SATURDAY EVERYONE! I'll ck in when I can.

    Gained .2 ounces today But then again I received my TOM, and took one of my doses of drops after midnight last night because I forgot to take my bottle to work with me... I hate working late at night- it messes me all up!!! So I'm hoping that was it and I can get back on my good track I will be starting a minor exercise routine on monday just to try and tone up a little... nothing to major and shouldnt even break me out into a sweat. I'm really really hoping I can make my goal!

    This is my second round. I had a great experience in R1 with ALL PHASES. I stayed within 2 pounds for 6 months. In the past, I could gain 3 pounds overnight following any plan (Jenny, WW, Atkins, etc.).
    IIn my opinion, in order for HCG to be a life-changing event, you have to do the protocol, and stay at it through all the phases. Afterwards, you can eat like a normal person! Yea! But normal people don't eat 1/2 a cherry pie a day. Normal people gauge their hunger, analyze the day's intake, and make healthy (not crazy impulsive) decisions about food. Who knew?
    I have read Pounds and Inches ten times. I love the forum for the opportunity to see what/how others are doing. What a great source of encouragement. I look forward to sharing with you all.
    I am one who seeks to obey the hcg guidelines, and I think the detox I went through on P2 was to my total advantage. No Splenda, no pop, no oils, no cheats. I guess doing your own thing works for some people, but I think attempting to live within the rules is teaching me a big life-lesson. It also really helped me on P3, when I had so many more choices to make, to stay within the guidelines. And to keep my weight off for the first time EVER!

    You make me feel soooo much better!!! Thanks! I took my last dose on Wednesday, so today, I start P3. I'm down 3.2 from Wednesday!!! OMG, I'm so excited!!! I'll, definitely, let you know how it all goes!!! Wish me luck!!!

    I plan to start loading Monday or Tuesday for R2.
    I am getting very excited for the weight loss. I had a lot of hunger and mood swings and lethargy my first round so I am worried about that. I really hope this time it will be different. I have heard mixed things about R2 being easier or harder. I guess everyone is different. I will start adjusting my dose from the beginning if I am hungry, last time I had pre-loaded needles the first 13 days. however I never got the dose right it seemed. In my 30 days I think about 25 of them I was hungry.
    Saying that I want to add it was worth it! I have maintained my loss for 6wks. I am thrilled about that, like other readers, I could gain 3lbs bcs of one meal. In the past, I pretty much gained every day that I was not on a diet. The last 3wks I ate what I wanted with no gain. I did keep myself in check by making sure I ate plenty of vegetables and fruit throughout the day. The 3 wks before that I was in P3 and loving that. P3 was a peice of cake for me after P2. I went pretty high fat by the end of P3 and no gains. P4 I added sugar slowly but now I eat dessert almost daily and again I am maintaing.
    I am looking forward to cutting the fat, sugar and coffee out as I have control issues with them and the last few days feel my consumption bordering on overboard. I liked the discipline of P2 and I felt like I was mastering my body and especially my cravings. I was teaching myself I can do it. I can eat clean and stay the line.
