    Round 1, April 29, 2013 25 lbs lost

    Extended Round

My husband and I are doing the HCG diet together. He has actually been on his drops for 50 days now. He has lost 45 lbs. He wanted to stay on P2 until we leave for Mexico on November 4th, and then return to P2 on November 15th when we return. I told him that I didn't think this is a good idea. I thought it would be better for him to move into P3 and then get right back on protocol when we return.
    Any suggestions on this?
My husband is very overweight and needs to lose another 80 lbs.
    Any ideas or suggestions??

    Thanks so much!!

    You are right.

By now, he not only has been on the drops more than the maximum amount of time, he has lost more than the recommended maximum amount of weight in one round.

You both should get off the drops, go into P3, and do a full P3/P4 before restarting. And, personally, I find it unrealistic to be on any kind of restriction during the holidays. In your shoes, I would work on maintaining until January.

Just for the record, no part of this journey is for the weak.

I think you're right. He should do his 3 weeks of P3 and 3 weeks of P4 before beginning another round.

His body needs a break from the strict P2 protocol. His organs need a rest from processing all the fat and all the toxins in the fat. His skin needs time to rebound. His hair is going to start falling out if it hasn't already. His body needs to be re-nourished with a normal amount of food. Since he is very obese, he is allowed to lose up to about 40 lbs in a round, but he's already gone beyond that. This diet is very safe and effective when the instructions are followed. He isn't following the instructions and has now reached the point where he will be risking his health. I understand if he feels he has momentum going and just wants to get this over with, but he doesn't want to end up in the hospital.
