    New guy here: My Plan

    I've been reading on this sight as much as I can for several days now. I'm planning to start loading on November 11th after I get back from a trip. I'm a guy, I'm 6'1", about 245, although I'd like to lose about 20 lbs.

    I am a full time police officer, and I also own a CrossFit gym and I coach there for a few hours each day. I'm really worried about energy and weakness on this diet plan, but I can't lose to save my life any other way!

    My plan is as follows:
    - Diet will be on protocol unless or until I can't recover from my gym activities, at which point I'll add some BCAAs
    - I will continue to take a multi and a digestive enzyme for overall well being from http://primalblueprint.com/categories/Store/.
    - I will continue to take ZMA at night for sleep and recovery issues.
    - I may get some tribulus terristis to help with T production and muscle preservation.
    - I will give up caffeine
    - I plan to go 23 days, which will put me in P3 for Thanksgiving.
    - I will be taking Homeopathic HCG from www.officialhcgdietplan.com. Is this a good brand?

    Any comments or advice are 100% welcome. I'll be honest I feel a little embarrassed to do this diet due to my CrossFit affiliation, where the Zone diet, Paleo diet, and slow weight loss are all espoused as healthy. I agree with all of that, and most of the time I try to eat Paleo, but genetically I come from a long line of fat people. At one point I weighed 320 lbs. I want to see if I can reset my boy's set point with hcg, and then get back to Paleo.

    I hope that's a good homeopathic, I know Natural Health Labs is, I think you need to post on the homeopathic site and ask the girls.

    24 days in and all I can say is "Wow!"

    I am on day 24 of hhcg and I have lost 21 pounds. I have been impressed by not only the fat loss, but also the hunger control and the increased discipline I have on this diet. I have endured 3 pizza parties for the kids with cake and ice cream while eating my chicken and cucumbers, I have been to the movies 3 times without even being tempted by my biggest vice of all time (movie theater popcorn), and I have gone to restaurants several times with the family without deviating from the approved P2 foods. More impressive to me than the pounds lost is the inches! My clothes are getting too big!

    I am a guy and I carry a lot of muscle. I started at 267 and I weighed in at 246 on Sunday. Here's what's been working for me:
    - I eat a lot more protein than the protocol suggests. I weigh out 6 oz cooked with both of my meals and I stuck to chicken and shrimp.
    - I only have one fruit per day, and it was either an apple or strawberries.
    - The first week I did not work out in order to get used to the low calories. The second week I did three days of low volume strength training with no problems, The third week I did a slightly higher volume of strength training. Now in the fourth week, I do the strength training plus I have added back in my CrossFit metabolic conditioning workouts. While my strength is down a little and I get tired a little faster, overall I have nothing bad to report, I can do the workouts, and I'm not dead the rest of the day (I have been CrossFitting consistently for years, mind you. I did not just start
    - I upped my dose to 10 drops 5 times a day and I am rarely if ever hungry.

    Due to my success I plan to extend through Thanksgiving and go 30 days total. This will put me in P3 by December 3, which will hopefully have me stabilized and into P4 by Christmas Eve so I can enjoy some treats then with the family. I love this diet and what it done for me and I'm hoping to maintain these losses and maybe hit one more short round early next year to get down to my ultimate goal of 225!

    Thanks for reporting your progress here! My brother started in the 250 range ... he's 5'9" and 71 yr old, not built like you ... almost no muscle tone ... but has lost 40 some lb and is trying for 170. He was so thrilled to get to the "just overweight" range last week and not be "obese" anymore on his Wii scale. The protocol does work, as you see.

    Congrats on the good body while still young. As my brother would tell you, "Good you're getting it in order now. You won't regret it later!"

    From 376, lost some over 3 years ... Started HCG October 31, 2010 - Sept 30, 2011, - 53 lb with 4 rounds HCG protocol.
    Maintained w/ Paleo April 22 - June 1, when I started losing. Lost an additional 20 lb with Paleo eating between rounds.
    Back to Paleo 10-1-2011 @ 278

    Congratulations! Movie popcorn is one of my weaknesses, too, so I can sympathize with what it must have been like to make three trips to the movies with no popcorn! Keep up the great work!

    Thanks, guys! I'm down to 244.2 as of this morning. My first goal is to get under 240 so I'm close. I'll be on the drops for 8 more days so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
