I believe the answer on fibroids is no. Estrogen has an effect on thyroid but i do not believe hcg does, Never heard a outnthe iron issue but guessing your iron being low would not work on such a low calorie regimen. Need to build up your iron first

I've had (and still have) low iron but its due to a genetic Mediterranean-based anemia that I have. My lab bloodwork always comes back wonky and concerning to doctors due to my iron levels, and my red blood count as well. When I had my breast reduction/tummy tuck surgery, I had an unplanned overnight stay in the hospital and actually had to have a blood tranfusion. Due to my low blood count, they wouldn't let me go home when I was scheduled later in the day. After the overnight transfusion, I was fine the next day and on my merry way.

Is your fibroid causing excess bleeding, and perhaps the cause of your iron issue? If I'm not mistaken, I think Dr. Simeons mentions something about fibroids in Pounds & Inches, so you may want to take a look and see if you may need to take care of that issue first. I had fibroids and a hysterectomy with ovaries remaining almost 20 years before I ever started hcg,so that was never an issue for me.

Fibroids
While uterine fibroids seem to be in no way affected by HCG in the doses we use, we have found that very large,
externally palpable uterine myomas are apt to give trouble. We are convinced that this is entirely due to the rather
sudden disappearance of fat from the pelvic bed upon which they rest and that it is the weight of the tumor pressing
on the underlying tissues which accounts for the discomfort or pain which may arise during treatment. While we
disregard even fair-sized or multiple myomas, we insist that very large ones be operated before treatment. We have
had patients present themselves for reducing fat from their abdomen who showed no signs of obesity, but had a large
abdominal tumor.

There was a change in the FDA regulations last year that has caused all the suppliers to get creative in order to be compliant, and it has resulted in a big price raise, unfortunately. Some have even stopped making it available at all. You might try Colin Watson's site. We are not allowed to post about overseas pharmacies in the forums, but he has one brand that is shipped from the US you can check out.

Does anyone have any testimonials from using Colin's product? I have a relative who would like to start her first round, and DietDoc is out of her price range at this time.
