Thread: New to HCG - Starting June 24th! Any Buddies?

    I do injections. 125 ius per day, first thing in the morning. I do a little exercise and haven't seem any negative effects yet.

    Doing good so far I think.
    The hubby and I splurged gained 2.. Hopefully I'll finish losing 5 this last week.

    I tried walking and almost passed out, but i think it had more to do with the heat than anything else, i live in miami so it was blistering out

    AFM: Well.... I was weak today.. I woke up this morning and was the same as yesterday, which i expected, but today i had a bite of chocolate cake, a tablespoon of icecream and had bison burger with Gorgonzola, half an egg, and spices (homemade so i know there wasnt anything unexpected in it) and my regular protein in the morning and an apple but i know it will effect me tomorrow... i guess i will have to see =/ Hope everyone had a great weekend..

    BLamb - Don't feel bad!!
    Following my 20lb loss mark on Friday.....Saturday, I woke to a .2 loss, and started the day with a scrambled egg & coffee. Okay so far...Then lunchtime... hubby decides we need to go for mexican food. (I had just had mexican on Friday, but he didn't know about that). So, I put away 3 (not 2) enchiladas, a bite or two of rice, and a couple of flour tortillas. UGH! I felt stuffed, but didn't let on to him. Then dinner time rolls around, and he wants to go for fish. I'm thinking Red Lobster....we ended up at Long John Silvers. 2pieces of fish, 1 chicken plank, and butter drenched fresh veggies (which they call healthy). I'm miserable at this point, but again, I didn't say anything. And now we're on our way home, and we HAVE to stop at the local Braums for ice cream. And ladies, I was VERY BAD! I ordered a BANANA SPLIT!! And I enjoyed EVERY BITE!! Hubby realizes I have totally overeaten for the day and now does this "don't blame me" number. I went to bed with such a stomachache!
    Woke up yesterday to a 3.6 GAIN.

    Fortunately, Pound fairy visited me this morning to a 1.4 loss...
    53 years old and can't wait to be thinner!


    R1: Starting weight 185.0, 5/30/2011...Total lost R1P2: 18.8 lbs.

    P3: Starting weight 166.0, 7/3/2011...Total gained on P3: 5.8 lbs.

    R2: Starting weight 170.4, 7/27; Start VLCD: 171.4
    Wk 1: Wt. 165.2, 8/05, - 6.2 lbs
    Wk 2: Wt. 159.8, 8/12, - 5.4 lbs
    Wk 3: Wt. 157.6, 8/19, - 2.2 lbs
    Wk 4: In LA 8/26,+2.0lbs!
    Wk 5: Wt. 162.2, 9/3, + 4.6 lbs yikes!
    Wk 6: Wt. 159.4, 9/10, - 2.8 lbs.

    I felt Horrible LOL. Wine is my weakness. I cheated again yesterday with more wine. I didnt eat anything off protocol but I did stuff my face with chicken breast. UGH>> I need to focus and keep moving, I would hate to stall so much that its a waste. MMM that ice cream sound sooo good. lol. I gained about a lb total since friday. I hope the lb fairy comes by tomorrow morning and gives me a treat.

    Well... I dont know how it happened but i loss .6 this morning and ill take it!

    Blamb, dont worry just stay on protocol and drink lots of water and youll be just fine!

    Hi! I was hoping I could join your thread. I started around the same time as everyone here, on VLCD 16 and have lost 13.5 lbs so far. I am frusterated with how slow I'm losing and hoping being more interactive will help cuz I want to make sure I stay on track. I'm doing a long round with injections and I'll go 2 days without losing and then drop a pound out of nowhere. Not doing anything different and staying strick, but it is making me CRAZY! Is anyone doing their hcg from a doctor? The people that work at the clinic that I go to don't seem to know anything, or tell me things that make no sense. Was just curious if anyone else has this problem.

    Welcome audrysuzanne...I am doing injections through my ob/gyn office. They are knowledgable but I find a lot more support through this forum. I lost 12.8 and have been going up, down by .2 over the past 3 days. I think I got spoiled to that 1-2 lb each day, but I might be eating too much beef as well. I think I will limit my beef for an entire week and see what difference it makes.

    Hi and of course! Welcome! =]
    as for the two days without losing Im told that week two (which you just got out of) is the most frustrating week as we stall, lose and stall. I had the same experience myself. I was told its becuase the fat we are losing is releasing toxins into your bloodstream (catching up from the first week) and your body has to retain the water to keep the toxicity levels from harming you and in week three (as long as you continue to drink tons of water) its supposed to *whoosh* and you lose weight again. Just stick to it and drink rediculous amounts of water! I drink anywhere between 200-250 oz a day. And as for the amount coming off losing 13 pounds in 16 days is phenomenal, and you cant really do that on any other diet so just remember that you are losing much faster than most people!

    I do sublingual drops that i bought online, not through my dr, but ive learned everything i need to know (and am still learning) through these forums. they are a great resource.

    Updating this morning, im down another .6 and happy if that will be my loss every morning =]

    What has been your weakness with food once you started HCG? What has been the hardest for you to let go?

    Yes!!! I actually posted about this VERY thing on Friday!!! I also am having slow loss... I have been stuck for a while now. Ugh.

    The plan my doctor gave me said no red meat except veal which figures because it is twice as expensive. I've been following the foods from the protocol though because that seems to be what people do that's best on this forum, besides there is only so much chicken and white fish a gal can stand. I have only had beef one time and it was the first week and the next day had only lost .5 lbs. Maybe that little bit of higher fat does have an effect if we have it too much. I am gonna try it again tonight because I am so sick of white meat, been at the same weight for 3 days anyways!

    Hmmmm. Thanks that is such a good explanation. I am so excited that I have lost what I have, but sometimes it is hard to continue to eat like a bird when things slow down. I understand how the diet works, but some of the random ups and down in loss seem like some kind of magic trick sometimes. I like the logical explaination, it helps with the ocd that this diet seems to have brought out in me!!! OMG, how do you drink that much? I have been drinking more than what the doc told me and that has worn me out. I guess I'll try and down some more and hope for a whoosh! Better run out for some more TP on the way home.
