Thread: Help If You Are Hungry on HCG Diet ~ Please Read

  1. #1261
Is anyone else struggling and despairing over finding their magic number? I sure am!
Each time I think I might be onto something, things change and i become ravenous.

Happened again yesterday---i was VERY hungry/ravenous all day until I finally went to bed...hungry.
Ate extra protein and fruit---so of course gained 1.2 pounds.
I'm really getting discouraged because the VERY hardest part of this diet, for me, is finding that correct dose. It's not the limited diet that is causing me trouble, or cravings.
It's gnawing hunger that will be my downfall.

    I was at 150 sq initially, then 125---then 135, then 110.
I've skipped days 2x so far in an effort to figure this out---but my successes are short-lived.
Today, I injected 130---a number I've not tried.
    And I'm again, HUNGRY.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.
    I'm truly desperate.

I know you're skipping tomorrow but gauge how your hunger was today on the higher dose compared to 110. When were you hungriest? And don't count feeling empty. That's normal.

Maybe just slightly hungrier today... very slightly.

Feeling empty isn't the problem---it's the stomach aches and non-stop rumbling and growling, for hours. It does not end.
I've been taking Nexium, trying to relieve it but it's not helping.

Sounds are normal too. Don't even pay attention to that but to actual hunger pains. If you were hungrier today then you likely went the wrong direction. skipping tomorrow will tell you for sure.

Thank you---i will heed your advice and monitor my hunger carefully tomorrow.

I guess it's possible that I need even less than 110 units, although it's not the norm i realize.

It's not uncommon to have to go to 100. I see that a lot.

That's good to know---i'm willing to try this awhile longer because I do believe in the process.
If you can get dosing right.

Yes it's all about the dose! Some even go lower than 100 but I don't really like to see that happen because I'm not sure there's enough hcg to really do the job right.

My Dr started me (41 yo female)at 200ius for days 1-7, 220 for 7-14 and today I was supposed to up my dosage to 240 but since I have been starving I decided to skip todays injection and ask for help with my dosage. When I asked the Dr if my hunger was caused by my dosage being too high he said no. ( my hcg came from a US compound lab and was in powder form, mixed with vitamin B.) My question- how low should I go tomorrow? And should I wait to see how I feel hunger-wise before adjusting again the next day? How do you find your sweet spot? And input is greatly appreciated

Did you get any relief at all from the skip day? If not, then you may need a 2nd skip day to get your hcg levels down to a better level. Those are crazy doses that your Dr has you on! Really sorry you have had to go through the extreme hunger that those doses cause!!!

Ginger is right. Those are crazy high doses. They cause crazy hunger and poorer losses. You may not see relief until later in the evening. Rather than skipping 2 days though, I'd go to 125 the next day, then to 150 the day after that. That will still get your levels down fast. Good luck!

So I'm skipping my dose again today and I know that the magic hour is after 4pm in terms of deciding which direction to move.
Hunger prior to that is not relevant.

Interestingly, i did wake up hungry and have already eaten a protein and a fruit, and could eat more if I could have my way.
Living the dream with my HCG experience thus far, LOL.
