Thank you so much for the help! And thank you for all the time and energy you put into coaching people on this board. I've spent several hours reading the forums for the last few days (and I'm going to be reading a lot more in the days to come) and I'm really grateful for all the wisdom and attention you have bestowed upon us!

Hi Leez! Ok, I have more questions:

I skipped my dose on Tuesday and felt great! I had to order the syringes from Amazon and they didn't come until Thursday night, so I used a different dropper I had and just put 4 equal parts of water into a container with the pellet to make 4 doses. I took one dose Wed. morning at 7am, followed by the second dose at 3:15 pm. I felt amazing all day and barely hungry and had that same feeling that I had when I first started the HCG and had my first drop in weight in a week when I woke up on Thursday morning. Yay. On Thursday I woke up late and took the drops at 9 and wasn't super hungry for lunch but didn't make it back to my house to take the second batch of drops until 5pm. By 7 I was starving out of my head and hungry all night.

I used the more accurate syringe I bought off Amazon this morning and took .25 drops at 7:30 am. I wasn't all that hungry when lunch time rolled around but ate a little anyway and saved half for later. I took the second dose at 3:20 and then was REALLY hungry at 4 and ate the second half of my lunch. And I had another good drop in weight when I weighed this morning.

So I'm not sure what my next course of action is. My skip day was great and so was the first day on the sublingual drops, but on my 2nd and 3rd sublingual drop days my hunger was small to normal in the morning, but ravenous after 4 pm. Does this mean I need to take more HCG or less HCG? Or do I need to take my second dose earlier?

    Thanks again for your help!

It sounds like your dose is still too high. Hunger right after eating and dosing is the tip off.

You can dilute your pellets so that you are making 5 doses of 100iu each and try dosing 100iu twice a day.

So if diluting at the same ratio, instead of measuring a quarter of the amount (.25) you would measure 1/5th the amount (.2)

Sometimes I wonder if being on those super high doses for a while starts to sensitize your body so that even normal doses end up being too high. It is almost like it brings on the start of immunity.

Gosh, I apologize for being so high maintenance but I am still having problems.

So I diluted 5 pellets in 500 ml of water and took .2 at 9 am this morning. I was a little hungry when I got up and pretty hungry before lunch. I ate lunch and was hungry again 2 hours later at 2 so I had my strawberries as a snack. I took the second dose of .2 at 3 and was really hungry again at 3:30. I ate an entire cucumber and a bite of an apple. By 4:30 I couldn’t take the hunger and made dinner of cabbage and ground beef and ate the entire thing and I am still REALLY hungry. I am probably going to eat some additional protein and vegetables tonight and go all the way to 600-800 calories because I am so hungry. I’d rather eat a little extra of protocol food than suffer and end up eating a pizza. But now what? It’s been 4 days since I’ve done a skip day. Should I do another tomorrow? Or stick to .2 tomorrow? Or go even lower tomorrow? Dang, I certainly hope I'm not immune already after only 21 days on my first round.

500ml? Why so much. Instructions were to mix 1 pellet (500iu) with ONE ml water (1). So the syringe measurement is not going to be the same if you change the mixing ratio.

So you mixed up 25 doses of 100iu in 500ml water. That means each 100iu dose is 20ml. Is 20 ml what you are taking orally each time? (With oral HCG, you should be holding this in your mouth for a time and not just swallowing, so that you are absorbing sublingually.) That is a lot of liquid to hold in your mouth.

If you are using the syringe measurement in grammies instructions, you are way underdosing, and it is no wonder you are starving.

Oh sorry! I wrote the wrong amount in the last post and didn't realize it and then had to run out the door! I put 5 pellets into 5 ml water, which is the same ratio as 1 pellet (500 iu) with 1 ml water. The syringe only holds 1 ml of water and that is such a small amount that I was having a hard time getting the dose into the syringe without extra air. I read Grammy's instructions, "1 pellet [of 500iu HCG] will give 4 doses of 125 iu and you'd want to do that twice a day. If you mixed 1 pellet in 1 ml of fluid, you'd take 25 units or .25 ml under the tongue twice a day. [**That is what I did on Wed, Thurs, and Fri, and I did .2 ml twice today] So, if you have a glass bottle with a ml dosing syringe (you should be able to get a child's dosing syringe at the drugstore) you could mix in that. I usually keep old amber glass bottles that have a syringe attached in case I need them. If you have 10 pellets left, you could easily fit 10 ml of fluid in it with the 10 pellets."

So I took .2 ml into the syringe, which comes out to be only like 5-6 small drops to hold under my tongue (I try to hold it for at least 15 mins). That was the 100 iu dose that I did twice today. That was the dose you suggested. So even though I wrote a typo, I think I still took the correct dose.

But I was starving out of my head all day, so it’s been 4 days since I’ve done a skip day. Should I do another tomorrow? Or stick to .2 tomorrow? Or go even lower tomorrow?

I'm nearly ready to throw in the towel on this out of frustration and hunger.

Thanks for the complete explanation. You can try another skip day tomorrow. I'll ask grammy to take a look at this and see if she sees something that could help you.

The biggest problem I'm seeing is that you're taking your second dose much too soon and that's likely why you're hungry. Most people taking sublingual take the doses 12 hours apart. So if you take it at 9 am, take the 2nd dose at 9 pm. Try that and see how you do.

I didn't know about spacing them out like that. I'm doing my skip day today and so far it's been going really well. It's only 4:30 now and I haven't felt super hungry or anything all day. I'm going to do .2 for the next 4 days and see how it goes and I'll space out the doses 12 hours apart.

Thank you so much for the help, Leez and Grammy!!!

That's great! It's another indication that your dose has been too high, and I suspect mostly from taking the doses too close together.

Hey there! Well, I'm back to needing some help again. Sigh. I did my skip day on Sunday, August 25th and it was great - no hunger and I felt good and I had a good loss the following day. The next day (Monday) I did .2 on the syringe (morning and evening) and again I felt great and didn't have any hunger and decent weight loss. On Tuesday I took the same dose and started feeling hungry again. On Wednesday I was hungry most of the day and by Thursday I was starving out of my head and wanted to gnaw my arm off and Friday I was so hungry that I ended up overeating from not being able to handle the hunger. I could not dial it down no matter how much additional water, protein, and veggies I had and finally the only thing that shut the hunger down was a big pile of pancakes. :-(

Since it had been 5 days since my last skip day, I skipped my dose yesterday (Saturday). Again on my skip day I felt good and had only a little hunger before meals. So I figured that meant that my dose was probably still too high and maybe I should drop it down some more. I took my first dose this morning at 7 am of 4 drops, which is about .15 on the syringe. It's hard to get the exact amount because the syringe takes in an air bubble so I'm counting "drops" instead. 6 drops is just a little over .2, 5 drops is just about .2 and 4 seems to be .15.

But it's been about 3 hours and I'm already hungry. I have to go grocery shopping today and I'm afraid to go and end up eating the store. I'm going to eat my apple now and have lunch in 2 hours but I can already tell that it's going to be a difficult hunger day. I can't seem to get this dose right to save my soul. I also need a strategy to help with the overwhelming hunger that makes me feel panicky because things like water, tea, broth, extra veggies, extra protein, etc. doesn't seem to squelch it.

I am regretting the decision to try the pellets and I will definitely do the injections next round. I'd like to try to salvage this round since the pellets were not cheap. Today is VLCD 28 so I have around 2 more weeks to go on VLC, if I can do it.

Theresa, I'm so sorry to see you struggling again. You are correct that your skip day points to still being too high.

But its disturbing that you are experiencing hunger again so soon after lowering again. You are at the point now where you really can't go any lower. 80iu is about the lowest dose that the HCG is still effective.

Its really not good to continue in P2 while experiencing extreme hunger, as that means you are losing the wrong kind of weight.

We are in kind of new territory with diluting pellets for dosing, so if this next adjustment doesn't work out, it might be best to end your round and start transitioning off into P3.

Again, grammy may have more insight, so I would defer to her judgement on this.
