    Homemade Melba Toast?

    Hi Everyone!

I'm brand new - day 2 of phase 2 - and I can't find melba toast anywhere. I don't need it for the crunch, but I do see it in a few recipes. Has anyone made their own from bread?

You can replace the melba toast with any cracker that has a similar macros...basically 20 calories and no fat. The LePain crackers work, or the Finn Crisp sourdough rye, or half a Wasa cracker.

You could make your own...just make sure the portion size is correct and there is no fat in the bread.

There is nothing magical about the melba/grissini. The protocol just states that a small amount of starch is needed in the menu.
