    Question Left over calories

    Hi

    Newbie here and I was hoping someone could help me. Here is an example;

    Dinner

    3.5 oz of chicken 88 calories

    2 cups of Romaine Lettuce 15 calories

    1oz of Raspberries 15 calories

    1 Grissini Bread stick 10 calories
    ________________________________

    128 calories. Can I add more chicken so my meal equals 250 calories?

    Thank you!

    Raspberries are not on protocol. You can choose from strawberries, an orange, small grapefruit or an apple.

    You can have 3.6 oz chicken breast (that is 100 grams which equals 125 calories) 3.6 oz is the most protein you should have at one meal. You can also occasionally have 1 whole egg plus 3 whites, which would be between 120-130 calories depending on size of the eggs.

    If you had an apple, that would be somewhere around 80 calories.

    You also can have a veggie that is more calorie dense, like sweet onion or fennel.

    You don't have to limit veggies except to stay within the 500 calorie per day limit.
