Question Should I lower my dosage?

Q1: Hi everyone, I have been lurking on the forums for a couple of months before taking the plunge and starting with HCG injections. I had read somewhere that phase 1 is not that important and can be skipped, which is what I was planning when I started today. It also wasn't mentioned at all in the HCG starter kit I purchased. But then I came across a video by Dr. Janine Talty on youtube about how phase 1 helps the HCG get into fat cells... so I quickly ate some healthy fats. *pause for breath* is p1 really that important? should I continue loading tomorrow?

Q2: The place I purchased from (HCG institute) had only one type of HCG inj in an 11k iu premixed bottle. I read on these forums (after ordering) that premixed solutions typically lose their potency? but on their site it mentions being mixed with some type of stabilizer and being potent for 6 months... I remember the doc mentioning the same on the telephone visit. Does anyone have experience with the HCG + premixed stabilizer formulas?

Q3: Last but not least, the doctor instructed me on the bottle to use 25iu which I am realizing from going through these forums may be too much. Today was just my first day taking this dose and so far I haven't experienced any extreme hunger pangs or anything, but I'm afraid of it being too much down the line and adversely affecting me. Also, in their starter kit pdf, it mentions this: "**For the 11,000 IU vial use 12.5 syringe marks instead when filling the injection syringe with reconstituted hCG." -- I assume this is not for the premixed solution?? Either way, I was prescribed the 25iu. Experienced users, would you recommend that I go down to a lower dosage tomorrow? I intend to call up the HCG institute on Monday for answers to some of these questions as well, but I was hoping for some feedback for tomorrow's dosage as well!

    Thanks in advance!

Yes, it is important. Eat mainly healthy fats and not so much starch and sugar to minimize load gain, but don't skip the 2 days of loading. Eat as much as you can of healthy fats every time you have room. (You don't have to stuff yourself or eat more than is comfortable.) The HCG doesn't become fully effective until the 3rd day, so starting the diet part will start you out being very hungry and weak, as the HCG hasn't had a chance to fully release and start utilizing your fat stores yet.

If your supplier ignores such an integral part of the protocol, I would be suspect of every instruction they give you. You were wise to come to the forum to verify how to properly do this plan.

The premixed HCG with stabilizer is a new thing. We haven't yet gotten much feedback on it yet.

A good starting dose is 150iu for most people. Dr. Simeons gave everyone 125iu intramuscularly. Its fine to start with 125iu. You will need to confirm what is the exact dose you are taking, as it depends on how the vial was mixed. Most suppliers mix 1:1 (equal HCGiu's to Bacteriostatic water ml's) which would mean pulling to 12.5 on s U-100 syringe would give you a dose of 125iu.

The phase "reconstituted HCG" seems to indicate the solution that is already mixed with the bacteriostatic water. But again, dose depends on the mixture ratio, so you still need to verify what the dose is in the amount they are asking you to take.

Should you encounter strong hunger, cravings, weakness or poor losses during your round, please post as we can help you adjust your dose.

Thanks so much for the advice! Today was P2D1 for me. I spoke with them today and they told me that the solution is mixed so that loading 25 on the syringe would give me 250 units of HCG. Yesterday and today I had been using 12.5, essentially taking 125 units of HCG. Should I continue with around that? Or stick with the 250 units?

I haven't been feeling too hungry today although I'm struggling with some cravings. I assume that's normal in the beginning. I did feel a tad lightheaded in the morning, but I think that may have been because of all the vitamins I took on an empty stomach. Going forward I'm going to take them with lunch instead and see how I feel.

For the future, they have told you that they mixed 11 ml bacteriostatic water with 11,000iu HCG. That is a 1:1 ratio.

One thing that is different with premixed is that they have to add something or do some process that would extend the viability of the HCG for long term. I suppose it might be possible that process would inhibit the potency of the HCG and cause more to be needed, however, this is such a new development that we will have to see how people do on it. There are only a couple people reporting on the new formula currently, but they seem to be doing well.

    So, I'm going to say....

Continuing on with 125iu is a good plan. It is normal to have a bit of hunger the first few days of P2. But it should not be strong hunger that you can't ignore. If it becomes that, let us know and we can help you adjust the dose.

I always have to overcome the feeling the first day of P2 that I'm feeling deprived, which is kind of a craving thing. It should pass quickly.

Hey Leez, I woke up this morning with some obvious hunger pangs, so I decided to up my dosage to 150iu. But as the morning goes on I'm still feeling quite ravenous. Should I not have increased it? Idk if it makes a difference but my current weight is 120 (lost ~3lbs so far) and height is 4'11". I've also been skipping the melba/breadstick just because I didn't have it on hand but plan on getting some today to see if that helps, at least in the beginning.

Also, the place that I purchased my hcg from had instructed me to load up 20 syringes with the correct dosage and store in the fridge... so I have all these syringes filled to 250iu... can stick it back in the bottle (from the unused but loaded syringes) in an attempt to save some of the HCG? or just call it a loss for that amount and stop being a cheapo (it's essspensive!)

You should not have increased it. In order to make a dose change, you need to be on a certain dose for at least 4 days, and then you do a day where you skip your dose. How your hunger responds during the afternoon of the skip day is how we can tell how to adjust the dose.

Hunger in the morning can sometimes be a sign your dose is still too high. But it has to be confirmed with a skip day.

Yes, you can return the HCG to the sterile vial, and draw out your dose again each day. Keep the vial refrigerated. If the vial has not been refrigerated the last couple of days, that is ok, as the HCG stays safe and viable for 3-4 days at room temp, so anything left in there would not contaminate the rest. Discard the pre-filled syringes and use new ones. Reason: The points will have been dulled by inserting through the rubber stopper twice and then again to refill.

It would not be sterile to inject a second time with the same needle, so returning to the vial is your only safe option.

Yikes. I should have asked first. Should I continue with 150 for the next 3 days and try a skip day? or go back to 125 and do the skip day?

Edited to mention that at least part of the problem may have been exacerbated by my lack of sleep last night due to sick toddler.

At this point, its a guessing game. I think that since most dose problems are from a dose too high, that the odds would say go back to the 125. And then reassess after a couple of days and see where you are with hunger. Your body may still be adjusting this early in the round.

Its possible that your sleep schedule threw you off. While sleep is important for weight loss, it really shouldn't affect hunger levels.

Thanks Leez! I will stick with the 125 for now.
