I mixed my HCG. :( !!! 2 questions!

When mixing my HCG and transferring it into the mixing vial, there is still a drop left in the original HCG bottle that I cannot get out with my mixing syringe... Its the amount that would come out of one drop out of an eye dropper. Is this enough that I will have to change my dosage?

I mixed 5000 IU's with 5 ml bacteriostatic water when completed. Also for 125 iu's that is 12.5 on my sq syringe right? It has been way too long... I was a pro at this years back.

Since you haven't started yet, my suggestion would be to add another 5ml bacteriostatic water to the HCG vial and then draw everything out and add to what you have already mixed.

This will allow you to get the leftover HCG and will also make dosing any dose changes you may need much easier. We recommend mixing at a ration of 1:2 or even 1:4. It allows you better control of the dose, and some think it even dispenses easier in the tissues.

Your dose calculation was right for your 1:1 mix. At the new 1:2 mixture, you would draw to 25 on your syringe.

To get every last drop out of the vial this time, keep it upside down as you draw it out. You can adjust the needle position to get it all that way as it comes down to the end.

Thanks for all of the info! Unfortunately, I already did my injection before having a chance to read your response. I had my daughter look in the vial and she couldn't see any drop left but I thought I could. However, Next time for sure I will be using a different ratio. I would imagine that 1:2 or above would get into your tissues better so I will be doing that with my next vial in a few weeks!

Hi Leez -- I have a similar question and would appreciate feedback.

Per mixing instructions on this forum: if I plan to add 10 ml bac water to my hCG, is there any reason why I need to transfer everything to a new sterile vial? It looks to me like there is enough room in the 5000 IU vial of hCG to accommodate 10 ml liquid. It would be far easier (and probably more accurate) to just transfer the bac water to hCG rather than transferring both to a third vial. I tried using a separate vial once before and ended up discarding it because of problems (transferred only bac water at that point). I'll be starting R2 in a few days.

Some of the 5000iu HCG vials are large enough to handle 10ml liquid. If yours does, its fine to use it to mix in.

Maybe have a sterile vial on hand just in case you eyeballed it wrong and it really isn't big enough.
