Still a newbie - dosing instructions

Hi - so Iím attempting my second round with HCG. First time fizzled out midway - mostly because of travel disruptions. I just got another batch of hcg and bacteriostatic water from empower but this time around I got 12000 iu. My clinicís dosing instructions are to dilute the HCG with 6 ml of water and then dose 0.13 no daily - this seems weird to me (in any case I prefer going off the original protocol vs my clinicís modifications). Anyhow, I figure I could dilute with 12 ml of water for a 1:1 ratio and then dose 0.15 ml BUT I doubt my vial can accommodate 12 ml of water. Iíd prefer not mixing into a third vial. Any workarounds? If I add the 6 ml, is there a dosage that could still make this work? Thank you!!

From the nearest I can figure, clinics recommend that very potent 1:1 mixing formula to keep you from having to have a separate mixing vial. That is the only reason it makes sense to do that. Measurements and adjustments are much easier with ratios of 1:2 or 1:4 HCG to water.

But your clinic is recommending a dose that is insanely potent, (2:1) which means each ml mixture contains 2000iu HCG, and the .13 dose they are telling you to take is 250iu! that is double what you need and will very likely cause hunger and poor losses.

For a 1:2 ratio, you would mix 12,000iu with 24ml bacteriostatic water
A 150iu dose would measure to .3 on your U-100 insulin syringe

For a 150iu dose at your clinics recommended mixture (with 6ml bacteriostatic water), you would pull to .075 See why its difficult to be accurate with super potent mixtures? You'll never get it right because some is left in the needle each time, and you are pulling a miniscule amount.

Even if you mixed 1:1, which is still more potent than optimum (Dr. Simeons mixed 1:4) you probably wouldn't be able to fit 12ml water into the HCG vial. Those usually hold 10ml or less.

Really, its worth the wait to order a 30ml sterile mixing vial and just do it right. You might be tempted to use the bottle the bacteriostatic water comes in, but those are plastic and its not a good idea to let your mixture sit in plastic. It needs to be glass for safety.

I usually buy mine from Formagenix, but they don't have the 30ml size. Heres the first one that came up in a search for 30ml sterile mixing vial:
    https://www.bacteriostaticwater.com/...***-vial-30-ml

Ebay might have one with faster shipping.

If you don't want to wait for shipping, sometimes a local pharmacy or veterinary clinic might sell you one.

I'm not familiar with empower, but HCG is pretty much the same from brand to brand.

Thanks Leez - I get my mixing vial tomorrow. Any chance you can share instructions on how to mix HCG in a 3rd vial? Do I add any nominal amount to my HCG powder and then extract all of that into the mixing vial and add more water till I get to the 24 ml?
On a separate note I am desperate to start the program ASAP. Of course my TOM had to start today but Iím planning to ploughing ahead any way. Any thoughts?

Starting HCG right after TOM starts is ideal, as it means you likely won't have a 2nd TOM to deal with during the round, or at least it won't hit just as you are about to go into P3, which can really confuse the scale that first week.

There is a thread with step by step mixing instruction here:
    Subcutaneous Injection Mixing Instructions

Basically you add some of your water to the vial of HCG to dissolve the powder, then draw it out, place in the mixing vial, then add the rest of the amount of water to the mixing vial. The tricky part is making sure you equalize pressure in each vial before you withdraw and inject each time.

If you find yourself confused, just ask and we'll guide you through. I found that it helped me to find a youtube video that showed the steps in order.
