    P3 Meal Plan Advice?

    Hello All!

Very excited to have found this forum! I have been reading, researching and follow you guys religiously since I started P2. This is my second time with this diet and I had massive success! 210 down to 150 about 5 years ago. Iím 31 now and the weight kind of crept up on me so I decided to giving it another try. I started at 173 and Iím down to 151 today! I have 2 weeks left of P2 and P3 is terrifying me. Iím trying to rack my brain and remember how I was so successful last time but to no avail.

My question is, does anyone have a good example of a meal plan the first week that worked for them? I understand that we are all different and therefore we will all react differently so I may be asking something of you guys thatís unrealistic but any advice helps!

Also, how do you know if a certain item was a trigger for weight gain if you are incorporating items that you havenít been eating for a month?

Example, you eat salmon, plums, feta cheese and cherry tomatoes with spinach the first day and have gain.

How do you know which one was the trigger?

Thank you in advance for reading my lengthy post, I really really appreciate it!

Here are a couple of ways of approaching P3 that you might find helpful.

The most common food senstivities are dairy, eggs, cheese, nuts If you want to be cautious, you can wait until the second week of P3 to start adding these. But you don't have to. Most people go through their P3 (especially on initial rounds) without surprise food sensitivities. Now, if you know you are sensitive to eggs, its not a great idea to try to eat them in P3. I think that on a first or second round, the best thing to do is just eat what you are hungry for within the P3 guidelines. If you encounter a problem, then you deal with figuring out what the issues is. We can help you with that.

The first week, concentrate on good fats, some protein, veggies and some fruit. There are plenty of wonderful choices available. Once you have the sense that your body is dealing well with the extra food, then you can choose to start introducing things you really want to eat that might be iffy. Its really as simple as that....and of course, eating enough. Undereating in P3 causes more instability and gains than overeating does. Its counter-intuitive, but that is the reality.

Leez! Thank you so much! This is so helpful!

Also, I have a concern about adding fruits into P3. Iíve gone the entirety of P2 without them only because my lunch and dinner satisfies me, I never found the need to snack.

Should I approach fruits with caution or just dive in?

Fruit is fine in P3. Don't avoid it. It will help you feel satisfied during P3. If you are afraid fruit will trigger sugar cravings, its ok to stick to berries, but you don't have to avoid any fruits---just keep portions moderate on the very sweetest ones like bananas and papayas.

But really....don't be afraid. Fear of whole, healthy foods seems to be a common hurdle people have trouble with in P3.
