Exactly....there are a lot of variables that can muddy things up, but generally, its a pretty dependable way to test dose and get you on the right track.

If we hit on it right, you should have a hunger free day.

Yep, so you were right (again!).

I tried 140ius yesterday after my skip day. Was quite hungry and weak. This morning's weigh in I was 0.2lb up despite following diet correctly.

Today I did 165ius. Hunger is gone. To the point where I am not questioning if I want my final meal of the day...If I am not hungry should I still eat?

So glad to hear you had a hunger free day. Sounds like 165iu is going to be your sweet spot. Its likely you won't need to change again during this round. But if you do, you know what to look for, and how to adjust.

It won't hurt you to miss eating a meal once in a while, as long as you don't do it regularly,. Unless you are averse to the thought of food, its a good idea to at least eat part of your allowed meal, as you want to be somewhere near the 500 calories most days.

Thank you thank you Leez! I am on 165 and my hunger is vary manageable / not there.

This will likely be the first of 3-4 rounds. I went through a clinic for this and tbh, they gave me quite a bit of misinformation, e.g. dosage, eating MCT oil, where to inject. That said, it was nice to have people on call when I was anxious at the start (before I discovered this forum).

I am debating whether it's worth going through a clinic again for my future rounds. It's obviously not inexpensive but it is a mental comfort when doing something as emotionally exhausting as losing weight. I would be curious for your thoughts...

Its all about your comfort level. Unless you have some medical issue that needs to be monitored closely by a doctor, we can coach you through your round if you are good with that. You just need an HCG supplier and the confidence that this works for you. You'll have that confidence by the end of your first round. if not, then maybe on the next one.

I went through my first 3 rounds with a functional medicine doctor. She didn't help me as much as the knowledgeable people on the forums here eventually did, but I was grateful to start off this process with a doctor, so I understand your hesitancy. I found these forums on my 4th round and I was able to teach my doctor that you can adjust dose. She didn't know about that and put everyone on the same dose and just left them there. That actually worked for me for a while, but not for my husband, who needed a dose change by his second round. Poor guy suffered through several weeks of hunger not knowing there was a fix or that the wrong dose caused him to stop losing. He would never agree to try it again, even after I told him I understood how to help him if he had the problem again. So just having a doctor there is no guarantee you'll get the right advice anyway. Many thousands of people have come through these forums, so we have a pretty good idea of what works and what doesn't.

Thank you! I am going to think about it...honestly i find myself increasingly distrustful of what my doc says, which is not a good place to be...

I am on my last transition day now. I have been following the diet perfectly, but this morning my weight was up 0.8lb! I was a bit shocked because I am following the protocol spot on and I am not expecting my TOM or anything. I know the scale will be volatile in the week ahead but to already have it fluctuate was a bit surprising.

Is this just one of those days? Just can't control the scale...?

When something weird happens scalewise, its always a good idea to check your batteries, or scale placement.

Its not usual to gain during transition, most people lose, but it does happen and you know you didn't gain fat. Its just a water fluctuation. It will likely be down tomorrow as you start P3.

Congratulations on your steady weight loss after a few adjustments! I thought I would chime in and I hope that is okay. I'm personally not a fan of Apple Days & I feel that when you restrict water and only do apples that of course the scale will go down. It seems to be just a trick which will typically lead to just another stall that could last even longer than the one you just broke days ago. Which can be very frustrating & defeating! I have found that if you encounter another stall then it's best to go back to the basics... meal prep, weigh food instead of eyeballing it & go back and read labels and make sure there are no hidden starches or sugars. When I ask for food journals sometimes people can't even tell me what they ate yesterday. I have found that most of the time it's just a few small adjustments that need to be made to get the scale moving in the right direction. At other times the person is completely rogue. When a person starts playing with the same pound this is a sign that their metabolism is slowing down. We might recommend sometimes a break or a refeed day (a glycogen refill day to kick start things again). It really depends on the issues that people are having and how long they've been on the round. I just wanted to encourage you to not look at a stall like you're not doing something right. Sometimes our bodies really just like a certain weight and to stay motivated take your measurements. Stressing over the scale can lead to more problems than one would think. I wish you the best on your weight loss journey! 🍀

Thank you so much!! No one really seems to advocate for apple day so I will try to avoid in the future.

Question: Do you guys think the Nutrafol supplement would be allowed during Phase 2? I guess I am worried maybe about the Biotin and/collagen...

I don't see anything in there that should cause a problem in P2.
