New here and a question about HCG and periods

    Hello all,

After a bunch of research, I've decided to go for it and start the HCG diet next month! I'm really excited, but I have one hangup and I'm hoping you can help! In Dr. Simeon's book, he states that women should go off HCG during their period while staying on the 500 calories/day and resume when their cycle is finished. My issue is that I have always had very irregular cycles, either very light and long or very heavy and long periods, and sometimes they last 7 days, other times I've had 20 days or longer. Sometimes I go a few months without even having one. So if it lasts longer than a week, do I just hunker down and wait to continue HCG? It seems like it could get pretty miserable.

Any info/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Most people don't skip during their periods while on HCG now. You can skip your heaviest day or two if you like. But HCG can mess with your cycle, so timing and heaviness of flow can be affected. You won't really know until you get there.

If you can arrange your starting time to be immediately after your next period, you will at least only have to deal with it once during your round.
