    Returner, but have questions!

    Hello!

I am Eve, I did 2 rounds quite some time ago back in 2012 or so, but am back to try and get some weight off. I started my weight loss journey around 247 and am now around 195 but I've been hovering around this area for 2 months with very little movement being made. The standard diet at 1200 calories and going to the gym 6 days a week hasn't broken through this plateau so I'm looking to do something I know will work, which is why I've returned!

I initially bought non-hormone hhcg as its what I used last time, but I think I'll likely pick up some proper hhcg as there is no way in hell I can afford actual hcg! That being said, I have a few questions for you all:

    1) I do not consume gluten, so right now my day consists of my total of 7oz of meat (boiled chicken breast), my 2 servings of veggies and 2 fruits. Adding that all into my journal, I only have 366 calories for the day. I know I need to get up to 500 calories - should I add another 3.5oz of meat? Again, I won't be consuming the melba toast or bread sticks.

    2) What is the actual impact of continuing to use my body products? I have naturally very dry skin and hair, and conditioning and lotion are really important or else my skin cracks. I can use mineral oil and swap out my shampoo but I wanted to understand what sort of impact does this have? Obviously I want to maximize my weight loss, especially if I'm going through a very restrictive diet, I want to make the most of it. I am however, trying to keep my costs to a minimum as I'm a single mom and extra income is difficult to come by.

    3) I have roughly another 60 pounds to go until I get to my goal weight and as I stated earlier, I'm currently on non-hormone hhcg. Given I'm looking to lose a decent amount, does anyone have any recommendations on what hhcg to pick up? Frankly, I'm broke as a joke and finding funds to come up with any solution is difficult, but I can make it work. I would just like to know if anyone has anything in particular they'd recommend?

    Thank you all!
    Eve

I'm sorry to hear you are already doing the diet with fake drops. Non-hormone HCG will not work like HCG regardless of the hype.

STOP NOW and do not resume until you get the real thing. You are harming your metabolism. This diet is a lot of work and commitment. It is worth it to get the right stuff to do it correctly.

Real hhcg is critical to how your body loses weight on this protocol. Non-hormone hhcg is mainly some amino acids. They do not allow your hypothalmus to rest and they do not protect you from muscle loss. They are called fake because they fool you into thinking you are getting the benefits of HCG when you are not. They add appetite suppresants to make you think they work like real HCG.

The low-cost hhcg suppliers change all the time, and you always have to check to see if they've changed their ingredients and removed the hormone, even if they are recommended. I'm sure you'll get some suggestions here, but do the research even if the recommended products were purchased recently. HCG must be the first ingredient, and should be followed by the dilution strengths (6x 12x 30x, or something similar)

To answer your first question, to get to the 500 calories when you are under, you increase veggies, or you can choose larger fruits. You do not use protein to increase. Don't forget to count the calories in the lemon juice and milk that is allowed.

Most people can continue to use any cosmetics and soaps that are rinsed off (like shampoo, etc.). You do want to be careful with things that remain on the skin. There are lots of oil-free moisturizers and such that can be used during Phase 2. Its recommended that you choose from those to avoid unnecessary problems.

    Thank you so much Leez!

I am placing an order of actual hhcg through Intermountain (or trying as they are once again experiencing credit card issues), and hopefully will pick back up with that once its arrived. I really appreciate your warning and the last thing I want to do is cause damage to the body I hope to use for the next several decades!

A couple more thoughts - I recently started experiencing Telogen Effluvium, which is effectively thinning of the hair after a stress in your life and/or poor nutrition. It might be due to my weight loss but more likely it is due to a very stressful period where I left an abusive marriage. Either way, I've been diligent on keeping my vitamins (A, C, D, Bs, Mag, Iron) where they need to be. If anyone has experience with this and wishes to weigh in on how this might play out with the HCG diet, I'd love to hear it.

Also, toying with the idea of a longer round, particularly 60 days. I've read a few threads that have alluded to this being an option on homeopathic hcg, and it would bring me rather close to goal. I would likely do one long round and presuming I don't have a big gain again, I probably wouldn't do another round. Any thoughts?

    Thanks all

Intermountain has been a reliable supplier and used recently by members of the forum, so it looks like you have made a good choice.

I think you are right. The stress is probably responsible for the hair loss. You can take biotin for your hair during P2. It is an inexpensive supplement that can help you with the hair loss issue. The dose for that is 5000mg. Some take 10.

Also, getting enough sleep during P2 will help reduce the effects of the stress. Consider taking a nightly hot bath and some magnesium before bed each night to relax you so that you get the best sleep possible. Magnesium at night will also help with the very common HCG side effect of constipation. It is gentle and works overnight. If you find yourself with that issue, up your magnesium dose.

Rounds longer than 40 dose days are discouraged because your body needs time to rest and regroup between rounds. Even though hhcg will not produce immunity, you still need those breaks for your skin to catch up to the weight loss, and to practice your maintenance plan. If you diet down to goal without those breaks, you may not be able to stay there. I've seen it happen here in the forums. There is also a maximum loss of 34 pounds before you need to stop a round. So 40 dose days or 34 pounds loss are the limits.

I received my hhcg last week Thursday (I love rush shipping) and holy crap, its such a different experience with hhcg rather than the fake stuff. The first few days I was on the other felt like I was 2 seconds away from dying at any point in time. Now I feel nearly normal aside from the various pangs of hunger from time to time. I also added in biotin and am visiting my Doc again to check my blood chemistry, I just want to make sure my nutrition isn't all jacked up which might worsen the hair loss. Thank you!

Sounds like you are doing well. Its normal to be a little hungry at regular meal times. But if dose is spot on, you can sometimes forget to eat, or not even want to finish all of the meal you are eating.

I've been at a decent dose for me I think, although I might need to tweak it as time goes on. I have had a few meals I haven't wanted to finish, but that is more due to the 'bland' nature of eating primarily boiled chicken and veggies. I've found a few ways to season the meat which is helpful, but I still have my moments of not wanting to eat!

Also, it turns out my TSH/T3 are astronomically high as I haven't changed my thyroid meds since I've lost 65 lbs. they think this is causing the hair loss. I'm hoping the decrease won't have any significant impact on my loss.
