Thread: Skin and body care during P2; Dryness

Smile Skin and body care during P2; Dryness

I have oil free moisturizer and shampoo as well as body wash, but I still find my skin is very dry while on Phase 2.
Any ideas for resolving without using oil based products or loading on nutritional sources of oil?

It's important for skin moisturization to make sure you stay hydrated. Cutting back on baths and showers may help. You can try mineral oil or corn huskers lotion during P2.

In my first couple of hcg rounds, I used a jellied mineral baby oil. Used sparingly, it kept my skin from drying out without staining my clothing.

Question, everyone talks about skin moisturizer, shampoo, conditioner but I have not seen any guidelines on hand soap, like at your work. Or does that not matter since you rinse it off quickly.

    Sorry, new but old here...
Did a 28 day round 13 years ago, kept the weight off until the last year. Life circumstances led me to unhealthy eating and now I'm ready to lose it again.

Generally, anything you rinse off right away is not going to have any effect on the diet. Its the leave-on stuff you have to be more careful about.

    Good luck on your round!

4 pounds is a great first day loss. Was that your entire loading weight? I usually lose the whole loading gain that first day. Which is great because it makes you not afraid to load well.

Leez, I gained 2.8# from loading so no, it was more than loading.

However, I had asked another question about dosing with HHCG. The last time I did this my drops were 10 drops 3x/day. I see where most people say 2x/day. So, I read the instructions and sure enough, it says 1 dropper full 2x/day. However, I started that yesterday and was extremely hungry and only lost .4# today. I am going back to 10 drops 3x/day (there are 15 drops in one full dropper), because I had no hunger and was seeing good losses. I understand the losses will go down and I am expecting a plateau this week. Does anyone do egg days anymore? They work best for me - much better than the apple or steak day!

10 drops 3x day has been the standard dose for hhcg as long as I can remember. (some companies such as diyhcg . com) recommend 15 drops 3x day) Unless formulas have changed, that would still be the standard, which as I understand, is on the low end of dosing. That means generally, when people have hunger issues with that, they usually have to increase.

Sounds like you did not need a lower dose and it was a correct decision to to return to the dose that was working for you.

And congrats on losing more than your gain the first weigh-in day. That's even better!

As for egg and steak days in P2, they are not in the original protocol. So anything you do with that is an experiment. Both are great in P3, though.

    Thank you Leez!

Yes, going back to 10 drops 3x/day made a huge difference! No hunger pains and another # gone this morning. I will stick to that unless I start having troubles again.

Noted on the egg day! Hopefully no stalls!!!

Also, I'm sure most people are aware, however, sometimes when I do not see large drops on the scales, it turns out to be the inches disappearing!! That is probably what I love most about this diet!! My clothes are already getting loose on me after 6 days! 6 days in on P2, 8# down!! (including load gain in that loss)

    Have a great day!!
