    Hi everyone! I started on 2/24/11. Can I join in even tho I started a few days earlier? I need to lose 80 lbs. I am doing injections.

    Hey I started a day earlier!Oh and boy do I need to keep my mind on the prize to keep myself from deviating.I've been seeing the numbers slowly go down and that is helping just wish i could see them lower.I know it will get there.

    Arrgh, ate kale

    Well, for some reason, thought kale was on my list. When I looked at the nutrition info, I find that it's high in carbs--so no, it makes sense that it's not. Teeny tiny bump in weight. Sigh.

    The positive is that I now know what the others mean about the protocol. Stronger incentive to follow it!!

    I started on the 28th. I agree it is easy to get discouraged, and some days just want to eat. I just keep thinking Willpower!!!

    Kale is a green. It has a curly leaf edge. I like it very much and saw greens on the list--but unfortunately, not all greens are created equal .

    Try some different cabbages ... close to the same and allowed ...
    So ... has anyone tried roasted or mashed radishes? Sounds a bit weird to me as I have never cooked a radish in my life and I've cooked lots of things ... but thinkin' about giving them a try ... spice things up I would guess. Let me know if you have tried it please ...

    My first diet day was 2/25/11. As of this morning I am down 8.5lbs. There are probably some things detox wise etc I could do to speed it up some more. I am doing injections, and at my weekly checkup with my doctor yesterday they redid my measurements and I have lost an inch from my waist, hips and thighs.

    Has anyone heard any of those detox hints etc? Only restrictions from my doctor was the typical no alcohol, carbs, sugar etc. I have a set list of foods I can eat, including tea/coffee and up to 2 diet sodas a day....

    Cauliflower is allowed...if you steam and mash it up you can pretend it's mashed potatoes.

    I'd kill for a glass of wine about now though! ha ha ha I cooked up some fresh cod and fresh spinach in some balsamic vinegar for dinner tonite.

    A lot of doctors are giving that diet soda ok but it isn't part of the original protocol ... many of the things they tell you aren't ... you should check the original protocol out, look for forums on P2, also Pounds and Inches ... balsamic vinegar has lots of sugar in it just so you know ... not part of the protocol either. Cauliflower is great though! Thought I should say something positive! LOL

    Hi Christine! Looks like you're have good weightloss! I just started the injections and today was day 2 of the VLCD for me. I see you're in Colorado too, so I thought we could cheer each other a long if you're up for it! Continued success!
