IMPORTANT: your starting dose may be too high.

This site is dedicated to helping people be successful on their HCG journey. We advocate for what produces success via the thousands of testimonies that have been posted over the years in this forum.

We are finding that more and more clinics and doctors are recommending daily doses of HCG that are starting way too high for some people.

The reality is that a dose that is too high is most often the CAUSE of hunger and poor losses.

The original protocol prescribed an injection dose of 125iu for everyone, regardless of size, gender or age. Most people will do well on a dose of 150iu or lower. (If you are using sublingual RX HCG, this may vary.)

We have seen through experience that a starting dose that is higher than 150iu may produce problems like fatigue, stalls and hunger for some people. If this does not happen immediately, it can happen further into the round.

We find that a large amount of the support we give on this site has to do with people that need their dose adjusted down. Hopefully, if you are just starting your round and have gotten instruction to take doses of 200iu or even more, that you will read this and be saved much frustration and even the failure of your round caused by a very high dose.

If your doctor, coach or clinic has not told you what dose you are on, it is imperative you contact them and find out. Your HCG success and at the very least your comfort could depend on it.

*The exception to this prescribing trend is homeopathic hcg (hhcg). They generally start you on hhcg at a lower dose (10 drops 3X), so its not unusual to have to go up some. It seems that many people find a good place at somewhere between 36 and 45 drops per day. But even 60 is not unusual. So it may turn out that a bigger increase could be needed.

I'm glad to have the grammy stamp of approval!

I hope it reaches at least some of our new HCG'ers and saves them the misery and disappointment we have been seeing from some of these super high doses.

I'm new so I'm not sure where to post this but I am trying to figure out how many iu I am taking to see if I am taking too much, on the prescription bottle from the doctor it reads dilute with 6.5ml bacterioststic water and inject 20 units per day, the amount in the vial is 11000 iu/vial also the syringe is 1ml (100 units)
This is my first time taking hcg and I am on injection day 6, I haven't had any real side effects, normal hunger, headaches off and a little tired but nothing too bothersome, I am just concerned because I read that taking too high of a dosage can cause you to lose less weight

You can use this formula to ascertain what dose you are taking:

    https://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforum...lations-21439/

It looks like you are being advised to take an incredibly high dose. I don't think you could accurately measure a normal dose at that high concentration. And even if you could, much of that is going to get left in your needle.

Normally, you would be instructed to mix a minimum of 5ml bacteriostatic water with 5000iu. That would pull to .15 or 15 on your syringe. And even that dilution can be hard to measure if you need to adjust dose. Its much better to use a total of 10ml bacteriostatic water to 5000iu. That would double the size of the 150iu dose in the syringe, making adjustments much easier.

To achieve this ratio for your 11,000iu bottle, you would dilute with a total 22ml bacteriostatic water, and then you would draw to 30 or (.3) for a dose of 150iu. (This presumes your HCG is in powder form. It would be 21mil if in liquid form, as there will already be 1ml liquid in the vial.)

Unless you are sharing your HCG with someone, you will not be able to use the whole vial, as 30 days is about the longest you can use it before it is too degraded.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'm not sharing it with anyone so it would all for my use, am I able to add more water now that is already mixed?

As long as you haven't drawn any doses out you can. But since you have already started, its impossibly complicated to figure what you would need to add to change it now to accurately get the dose you want.

This is a real problem, because you could develop immunity pretty quickly from that high of a dose.

    How are your losses?

Also if I am able to further dilute it would I be able to start taking the adjusted dose or would I have to start over again

Is it safe to continue taking it then, I'm not sure what effect taking such a high dose for 30 days will have

It is safe in that it won't hurt you in a medical sense (pregnancy levels of HCG are astronomically higher than what we take for the protocol). However it will hurt your losses, create immunity, and cause extreme hunger.

I'm surprised you are not experiencing more problems than you are. As near as I can figure, you have been instructed to take a dose close to 350iu. (assuming your HCG was in powder form) So if you dropped to the 10 point on your syringe that would be 175iu, still very high.

I would skip a day and then drop the dose and see how you do. If you can possibly measure to the 8 mark (.8), you will be at about 140iu.

I just checked the math too and it more then double then what I should be taking! Is it ok to skip a dose so early if so I will do that and then drop down the doseage.
I have been hungry but not unbearably so, have had the headaches off and on and been weak/tired but figured it was just from eating so little. I have been eating 500 calories at most daily from the original protocol
My losses so far have been
    Day 3 (vlcd day 1) -2 lbs
    Day 4 -2.5 lbs
    Day 5 -1 lb
    Day 6 -1.5 lbs
I'm not sure if this is average or not
