Thread: IMPORTANT: your starting dose may be too high.

  1. #25
I dropped my dose down to 175 (it was the best I could measure it) and I've been doing great but the last 3 days I've been increasingly hungry. I am on P2 day 25 but have had 24 injections total counting the 2 load days and I skip one day per week. Today is a skip day and I am starving, normally I am not hungry at all and sometimes have to force myself to eat a second meal. I am wondering if my dose needs to be adjusted up or down or if my hcg is starting to degrade. I have a new bottle I was planning on starting tomorrow. When I start with the new hcg should I adjust my dose?

Its possible your HCG is losing potency. It can happen after about 3 weeks, and we usually recommend not using a solution that was mixed more than 30 days.

However, hunger during the day is usually from a dose too high, and it is not unusual to have to adjust downward a couple times during a round.

See how you feel after 4 pm today. That should tell you which direction to adjust.

So if I'm still hungry today after 4 adjust down to maybe 150? I have have a 5000 iu bottle that I am mixing with 10ml bac water as suggested so it will be much easier to adjust the dose. Also, I have noticed that on the days I skip an injection I never lose any weight. I have lost 23.3 lbs so far so I'm not too worried about it but I wasn't sure if this was normal or not

You're having good losses overall. There is no issue with not losing on skip days. Most people don't lose every day. You are well above the average.

If your hunger is worse (stronger) in the early evening, you should adjust up. If it lessens or disappears, then adjust down to 150iu.

Hi Leez, I'm new and started my vlcphase2 today. I am going to a clinic for my first time and have a few questions about my needles.
I received a weeks worth of prefilled 50 unit insulin syringes that are filled with a pink liquid to 20 units. A very sweet woman on here on another thread told me the pink was because of the added b12. That is okay but I still don't know how much HCG in in there. Is that 200? I think that may be too high for me. Not sure. Just want to know if I should get a lower dosage from them next time or just assume that maybe its 150 hcg and 50 b12.
Do you maybe know anything about this?
    Thank you !

The only ones that can answer your question about dose is the clinic that prepared the syringes. You will need to contact them and ask what dose they gave you. Determining the dose in your syringe totally depends on the ratio that was used to mix it.

200iu is too high for most people. A good starting dose would be 150iu or even 125iu.

Hello! Today is my first day on P2 and I feel I may be talking too high a dose. I have 1cc syringes and my dr told me to take .25. Is that too high? I would like to adjust early on! Thanks!

You'll need to ask your doctor what your dose is. Where it is on the syringe doesn't tell you the dose, because it depends on how the solution was mixed.

Any experience with reducing the dose on RX-Sublingual? I'm on 250 IU/0.2ml twice per day. I've been on for 8 days and have not felt hungry until today so I thought it might be too high a dose and building up in my system. All the post I've seen about reducing dose refer to injections and I'm just not sure how much to reduce by. I skipped tonights dose and want to take the morning dose but less, just not sure how much to reduce? Any suggestions? I may have replied on this on 2 different threads, new to the forum and figuring it out, sorry about that.

Yes, your dose is very high.

I'd skip two doses so your levels can come down quicker, and then cut your dose in half (125iu 2x per day)

Thanks Leez, so on Sunday I skipped my PM & Monday AM dose and started feeling better by Mon afternoon. I took my PM Monday evening .125iu and then this morning .125iu and this afternoon I'm feeling a little bit hungry again where my stomach is growling and I'm thinking about food. I didn't feel that way at all the first week. Do you think I had too much built up in my system and I should skip one more dose tonight and then back at .125 in the am? I wish I had seen this post to begin with. Let me know your thoughts, really hoping to get this dose corrected. Thanks

It sounds like skipping one more dose could help. If needed, you'll need to have 4 days of full dosing in before you can skip again.

Hopefully you'll be on track by tomorrow.
