    Storing hcg

Hi, I took advantage of a sale and got extra hcg for my next round which will prob be after 2-3 months. Do I have to store the hcg powder (unopened) in the fridge too? How about the bac water or b12? Thanks!

You don't have to store it in the fridge, but you can. It can be affected by light, so put in a dark container or wrap with foil.

Yes its fine there. Once you mix it, it only has a life of about 30 days, but it is pretty much inert until then. It will even be good long after the expiration date.

Generally a couple years, from what I've read. It could be longer if it is stored properly and the vial is not depressurized. I don't know for sure, but I theorize that a reason those vials come with a "do not freeze" warning has to do with that pressurization. The only other information I've found on it has to do with the thinking that the delicate peptides might be damaged by multiple freeze/thaw cycles because of forming crystals. However, its a theory. I haven't come across any data that backs that up. And, if you are freezing the lyophilized powder, there isn't any liquid in there to form crystals anyway, which is why I think it is more about the pressure.

Expiration dates are in many cases the last date the manufacturer will guarantee the potency of the product and not so much about the state of the actual substance. Test have shown many drugs are still potent after even 10 years or more past their expiration dates. Of course, you have to decide for yourself if its worth taking the risk of taking something that maybe weakened or ineffective. Do your own research so that you can be comfortable with your decision.

How do you use a pregnancy test to check to see if your HCG is legit? I bought mine from NuImage but my doctor said to make sure itís real. I figure I can just draw like 50iu and put it on the pregnancy stick?

You draw up a whole days dose and wet the stick with that to do the test.

It is rare to get an ineffective batch, but it does happen.

This is very helpful. I just received my very first batch of HCG today. I ordered the “60 day” kit from DietDoc. In addition to the 2 vials of HCG, they sent me plain bacteriostatic water instead of the bac water + B12 that I ordered. I plan to start loading in about 10 days so will contact them about that. The HCG itself says to “discard after July 19,” which is barely past the date of my 40 injections, so I was wondering if this is common practice. Sounds like it's not unusual, but wondering if I should also test a pregnancy stick to make sure before I start injections?

DietDoc has their HCG compounded, so I expect its quite fresh. The problem is the California drug laws that require abnormally short use-by and expiration dates. You can ignore that. Your unmixed HCG will have a shelf life of several years. Once you mix it, we have generally recommend remixing after 3 weeks. However that is largely based on experience with HCG that was obtained from overseas suppliers. The compounded stuff sold by the recommended providers can be viable much longer than 30 days and could even last through a 40 dose round and still be viable. The reason is that they require the potency to be more than 100%, so even if it weakens a bit, you are still going to have product that is pretty close to 100% potency.
