I would not eat the melba at all. Many don't because gluten is often the underlying culprit to weight problems anyway. And many many report the same problem you have of portion control on them. I think it would be best to just eliminate them. Save your 2nd apple for the evening and maybe bake it with cinnamon to make it seem like a real treat. You figure your weight loss from the morning of the first day of the diet. Next time don't load with so many carbs so you don't have so much to lose. Good luck!
