# Thread: Subcutaneous Injection Mixing Instructions

1. Okay, so reading here confirms I mixed wrong...this is my second round and I could swear I mixed my 5,000iu with 8ml of bac water last time, so I did the same this time. I drew up all my needles this morning and only ended up with 26 total, and should have at least 33 (my husband and I are sharing). I pulled up 30iu on his needles and 27 on mine (these were our doses last time). So, not that it is a big deal because I have plenty of hCG, but looks like I will have to push some of each needle out until I mix my next batch....soooooo, now for the life of me I can't figure out how much we should be injecting....help!

5,000iu mixed with 8ml of Bac Water = ????

5000iu divided by 8 = 625 iu per ml or 6.25iu per unit.

30 units would be 6.25 x 30 = 187.5
27 units would be 168.75

you want your dose to be where you have little or no hunger. If those doses are fine then I wouldn't worry about it.

ps. you can mix with whatever volume of bac water you wish, it just means you have to do the math to calculate your dosage so that it's within a normal range. Over time we've come to a fairly standard mixing volume so that it's easier for us to all be on the same page.

3. Help! I mixed 6000iu with 6 ml of bac water. Nurse told me to fill syringe to 22. Does this mean that I am taking 220 dose? Isn't that too high?

Yes it is on both count. I would inject 15 units for a dose of 150iu.

Thank you Beth. Why is it that it is SO hard to find a Dr that actually knows a LOT about HCG. Thank you so much for answering my questions so quickly! Last year this time I did hcg and was in a great mood the whole time. I was doing 150iu each day. This time I am very agitated. Could this be because of my dose? The other thing that is different this time than last is I am on a low dose of testosterone and progesterone.

we have a lot more experience on a broader scale than most doctors could ever hope to have.

7. It could be your dose. It could also be the testosterone. It can make you agitated. Progesterone has a generally calming effect.

8. Thanks ladies! Should I go straight to 150 iu tomorrow morning?

If you have been on the 220iu dose for several days and are having hunger issues, I would skip a day before adjusting the dose. That will lower the level faster.

10. I am confused. I have a vial of hcg 5000IU that is a powder looking white substance. I have a vial of which there is cyanocobalamin 1mg/ml injectable to make a total of 10ml. It's basically vit B12 with biostatic water. I have insulin needles that are tiny -1/2cc(0.5ml) 31 gauge. I was told to draw out 5 ml and mix it with one vial of hcg. the instructions say use the insulin needle. Draw out to the 20 mark on the needle and inject in the fat of my stomach.

Is this correct?

Do you have bacteriostatic water at all or just a big bottle of B12 that is diluted to 1mg per ml?

Some people do mix their hcg with b12, but more recently we haven't been recommending it.

Did they give you a large mixing syringe or do they expect you to draw 10 times with the 1/2cc insulin syringe in order to mix?

Typically mixing 5000iu with 5ml is too tight of a mix and makes zeroing in a dose harder to do. We recommend mixing with 10ml of bacteriostatic water so that you have more leaway in adjusting your dose.

Also mixing 5000iu with 5ml total volume makes that mixture 1000iu per ml. a dose of 20 units is 200iu which is higher than we have round to be the normal. We usually recommend starting at 150iu.

12. ## Misxing bottle

Hellp this is my first post after doing a lot of reading and any help is appreciated.

INDENT]• Vial of HCG powder
• Vial of Bacteriostatic Water
• Mixing vial
• Mixing syringe

I am just prepping to start my first cycle at the end of the month. I did not receive mixing vials in my kit, I have mixing syringes and the HCG along with the bac water. Can I buy a mixing vial and where? Drugstore, amazon? Where is the easist place to buy a sterile vial?

Thank you,
Heather
