Switching from Rx Pellets to Injections - Reload?

This is my second time using the Nu Image Rx Pellets and while I knew what to expect going in from the round I did last year, my reaction has been completely different. I have felt horrible this round and actually stopped taking the pellets on day 10 just to get some relief. Within a day, I felt better and now that I've been off of them for a few days I feel back to my regular self. I don't want to quit completely so I'm going to switch to the injections which should be delivered in the next couple of days. Since I've been off the pellets when I start the injections should I reload for 2 days? I've been following the diet, just with increased portions while I've been off the pellets and am still losing weight - just not as rapidly.

    Hi Lady,

Leez and Grammy helped Rose dissolve her pellets and use them as sublingual drops last Fall. Read through this thread to see how she did this.

Ha ha - thread was started by you! Maybe one of them will pop on here and help you out too.

How many days exactly have you been off?

If its only been 2 or three days you can continue your round and still switch if you wish when your injections arrive. We can help you adjust the dosing with the method Linderlou linked you to. Its' likely you issues were caused by the dose being too high.

Start reading at post #19 on this page of the thread: Nu Image - Pellet Dosing

To switch from oral to injectable HCG, you would overlap the dose for 2 days.

If you have been off HCG for two long, you will have to start over. It all depends on the timing.

Today is day 4 being off. I hope to have the injections by the weekend but it's hard to say at this point given we recently got a bit of snow and things are being delayed. Given I was only on for 10 days, I'm thinking it may be best to start over? How long is too long to be off?

If you want to continue, we can help you figure out what dilution you need to get your dose. If you start tonight, you can continue until your injections arrive and you can switch over. If you don't start dosing tonight, it will be too late for that option and you will have to start over.

However, since its so close to the ten days you have already taken HCG, you can only do a 30 dose round with the injections.

If you are interested, and haven't already figured it out from the other thread, post the amount of IU in each pellet and how many you are taking a day. Its probably insanely high, and just cutting the dose to half or maybe even less may fix your feel bad issues with them.

Sorry - just seeing this and didn't do a dose last night. On the pellets I was taking a half of a pellet since that worked well for me last year which is why I was so surprised at my reaction to them this time. The good new is the tracking info has been updated and the injections are expected to be here by tomorrow by 8pm.

Thank you for the heads up on only being able to do 30 days. I hadn't even thought of that and was planning to just call the original 10 days a wash and do a full round. Is there anything special I should do when I load again? I've made it beyond the sugar cravings and would normally load with high fats and some sweet treats but don't want to trigger the sugar "need" again. Avoid sweets and just stick to the other higher fat meats, cheeses, and dairy?

You'll likely be more comfortable and gain less if you avoid starchy carbs and sugar for the load this time. Since you've already detoxed from sugar, it makes sense not to waken that demon again.

Thank you for confirming my plan! The injections were delivered today but didn't include a mixing vial so I've ordered one and will start once it's delivered.

One last odd ball thing that's come up that maybe you can give some advice on...I have auto-immune issues that are in remission and have been for a couple of years but I occasionally have small flares. One of them is my sensitivity to nickel. It comes and goes and generally doesn't bother me because I know what to avoid. Since starting this latest round, my allergy is on high and I'm reacting to things I normally wouldn't. For example, the brushed nickel door handle to my deck (never reacted before this). I'm getting around it but out of curiosity I did some googling and found that certain foods naturally contain nickel. I'm not sure why I hadn't considered this before and feel a bit dumb for not knowing this given how long I've had this allergy but I guess you learn something new everyday! A number of the foods are my go to's for the diet (black tea, asparagus, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, spinach). Have you heard of these triggering allergies in other dieters through the years? While I'm not planning to avoid these when I restart, at the same time I don't want to knowingly work against against my body. I may give my functional MD a call to see what he recommends but wanted to ask here as well.

Thanks again for all your help and for everything you do in this forum. It's been the best resource and place of support. It really helps me feel not so alone and for that I'm grateful.

I would definitely talk to your functional doctor about this. Really anything can be an allergy trigger, especially if you have auto-immune because of the leaky gut component. You continually get sensitized because of the transfer through the damage gut linings. Finding a way to heal leaky gut is a big key to overcoming that.

Maybe reconsider and do avoid those things you know cause reactions for you. My thought is that you want to give your body the best chance to use the HCG effectively. So you don't want to create an environment where it has to deal with other stressors during that same time.

I'm not 100% sure these are causing a reaction, it was just a google find but it peaked my curiosity for sure. I've emailed my doctor and we'll see! Thanks for your input!
