Troches and doses

Is anyone familiar with Metabolic Research Centers for weight loss or A1A Compounding Pharmacy? I have used HCG over the past 10 years and have very good weight loss when mixing my own for injections. I've typically injected what is a 125 iu dose. I'm now partnering with a friend and going thru MRC.
We just received our HCG. The bottle says it is HCG 500 IU Mini Troche. My friend has been on her HCG for a week now, and is complaining of extreme hunger and being lightheaded.. I just started my HCG today, so I'm not really experiencing anything. We meet with our advisor tomorrow, Tuesday, and I told my friend I think her dose must be way off to be experiencing such hunger. So, we are asking what is our ingested dose and if there's a way to test the efficacy of our meds. Anything else I should address?

If anyone has comments on this company, I would be interested in hearing from you. The online comments I've seen have all been positive. If anyone has experience with this delivery method, I would also be interested in hearing your reaction to it. Thanks all.

Yes, first you need to find out what exactly is the dose in IUs that you are taking per day.

If it is 500iu, that is an super high dose.

Doses both too high and too low can cause extreme hunger.

For orally administered liquid HCG, you generally take twice the daily dose for RX injections, but split into two doses, 12 hours apart. Unfortunately dose adjustments are very difficult with pellets or troches. Some have had success with liquifying pellets and dosing the resulting liquid orally. That may be an option that could be explored.

So if you did well on 125iu previously, your oral HCG dose would be 250iu per day, split into two doses.

You can test liquid HCG for potency with a drug store pregnancy test, but I don't know a reliable way to check potency on a troche.

Thanks Leez. That is exactly what I told my friend. We see our advisor tomorrow and will bring this up. She claims to have been using HCG since 2009, in this weight loss center. I'm going to be bummed if I can't get this round calibrated properly. all because I wanted to help out a friend!!

Although I am new to posting, I have been following this forum for years! I have done long rounds/short rounds with injections, pellets and now on troches. All rounds RX and all rounds strict protocol with slightly above average losses. On injections I was doing around 150iu, on the pellets they were from NuImage and were the tiny red pellets (compounded with B12) that were 500iu taken once a day and impossible to cut. I didn’t have any real issues but always wondered if the dose was too high? Since those are no longer available, I switched to the RX troches (also compounded with B12) from the HCG Institute which are 500iu taken once a day in the morning. They look like red hard gummy squares with a grid on one side that would facilitate cutting them. I have already been cutting them into 4 squares just to make them easier to hold under my tongue while they absorb.

So here’s my question...I’m on P2D13 and have lost 14 pounds which is great but in all previous rounds as I get towards the last week or two my losses drop to an average of .2. I have read enough to know that it could be my body adjusting to all of the larger earlier losses but wondering if it would hurt to adjust my dose down? I’m not experiencing any extreme hunger that I can’t manage. Would I be messing with a good thing? Should I adjust down to 3 squares and what effect would I be looking for? Would it be better to take 2 squares in the morning and 2 squares in the afternoon?

I already called the provider and they simply said to take as directed

I'm not surprised that they won't consider that you might need a dose change. It is pretty much always that way.

However, you said you were "managing" hunger. That says to me that you are experiencing it, and so lowering your dose makes sense.

First skip a day of dosing to make sure you need to decrease. You'll know that is the case if hunger disappears by late afternoon to early evening of your skip day.

If you cut back to 3/4 of the dose and still have any hunger beyond a little just before regular meal times after 3 or 4 days, you can cut back to half.

You'll know you made the right correction when you are hunger free. Losses may or may not pick up. They tend to be slower towards the end of a round no matter what you do. In the end, the average daily loss for women seems to average out to about .5 pounds a day. Some do better, so you always can hope to be in that group. In my rounds, the last couple weeks I would see a drop of 1-2 pounds or even under for week.

Oral HCG does seem to work more evenly divided into 2 daily doses, so since you have the option to do that, it seems logical to give it a try.

One last question, if I’m doing a short round and skip a day to adjust my dose, do I need to extend it to 24 days?

You count a round by dose days, so skip days do not count towards your round total.
