    Trying again after 5 years

Good morning! Please bear with me, this is an emotional post for me and I'm trying to sort through my feelings while typing I just ordered hhcg from DIY HCG yesterday and am hopeful and ready to get started! Just wondering if anyone has had a similar journey. Here is a bit of my back story. About 12 years ago I was at my highest weight of 250. I did great with WW over about 2 years and was able to get down to about 160, my goal. Then I got pregnant and gained it all back. I was able to get down to about 225, but had another baby 2 years later. By the time that baby was 2, I was still stuck at 225, which is where my body seems to "set". 5 years ago I was able to find a doctor on base (hubby is a Marine) who was happy to write me a prescription for hcg injections, and even better, my insurance covered it 100%! Long story short, I did 3 rounds, got back down to 160, and became a Jazzercise instructor. I was fit, happy and healthy. Then about 3 years ago we had a surprise, even though we were done with 4 kids, I saw those 2 pink lines one day, about 2 weeks before we were moving across the country yet again. Even though I was happy, I was scared to death to gain again. And I did. Fast forward to today, baby girl is 2, and once again I am at 225. Since her birth, I have tried (and been very strict about!) WW, low carb/high protein, shakes, Zumba (there is no Jazzercise in my new area, so sad!) running 3 miles 3-4 times a week, sticking to 1200 cal... I get absolutely zero results. Nada. The scale refuses to budge. I am almost 40 now, so I had my obGyn do a full blood panel to see if maybe something was off with my thyroid, hormones, insulin resistance, anything. Everything came back perfect, no problems at all! She prescribed Bontril, and it gives me energy but after a month my weight remains unchanged. My theory is that my metabolism and hypothalmus are messed up from so many years of ups and downs. Anyway.... I tried to have that same dr prescribe the injections for me again, but she would not. My local base dr is also unhelpful. These drops are my last resort. I considered the sleeve and WLS, but I'm just too scared. Like I said before I'm super excited to get started and I am hopeful, but I'm also scared to death that even this won't work this time around. Can anyone relate?

You should get copies of that blood work. I bet your blood is NOT perfect, and even more, I doubt they even ran the right thyroid tests. You need free T3 and free T4. There are many fake hcg drops out there. Are you sure those contain hcg? Look at the label and make sure it reads hcg 3x, 6x etc. You can also buy hcg that you mix yourself for shots.

Thanks, I will check into the blood tests and see exactly what was done. I did look into buying and mixing the shots myself, I will need 2-3 40 day rounds and the cheapest I could find was around $400, and I was still confused as to whether or not the kits contained everything I'd need. When I got my rx, I was able to get the vial of powder, bacteriostatic water and syringes from the pharmacy and it was very easy. Now it seems that no pharmacy locally carries it.

This is the ingredients info from DIY HCG: DIY HCG Diet Drops Original Formula Ingredients: Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) 12x, 30x, 60x HCG Cell Salt Mixture 12x (to prevent muscle cramping occasionally reported by clients), purified water, and 20% USP Alcohol.

I hope it wasn't money wasted...

Yes those are homeopathic then. That's good! Hope you do well on them!

Colleen, can you tell me where to buy the HCG myself to mix for injections ALTHOUGH I don't want to do injections, I want to mix it for sublingual use but want the RX HCG not the homeopathic. Any help you can give is appreciated.

Jayk, I checked out formagenix, but it looks like they only sell supplies, no actual hcg, is that correct?

Amber--your story made me want to write a post! I think I've been registered on here for a while but I don't post much at all. Anyway, our stories aren't really the same other than we are about the same age. My motivation right now to lose weight is that I've not yet had a child. I found the love of my life later in life and we've only been married 1.5 years. I so badly have gotten baby fever, but my obgyn says it really wouldn't be smart to get pregnant at this weight (240). I've been overweight for about 10 years now just due to binge eating and lack of movement, plus, age. Prior to gaining a big chunk of weight I was average and even underweight most of my life. But once I started binge eating more freely it became a habit and I honestly gained like 20 pounds in a month. From there it was all downhill. I have high blood pressure (genetics) and I know my weight doesn't help, I have trouble sleeping, tired all the time. My recent bloodwork showed pre-diabetic So I'm in a terrible position, and turn 40 in the fall. I tried Hcg a few years ago and did well for about 1.5 weeks but always cheated and never stuck with it. I've "loaded" several times since then and quit after the 2nd day of P2. Thus, I've gained significantly in just the last years from starting and stopping. Lately my baby fever has reached epic proportions, and I look at my husband every day wishing I could have his baby I have been determined to get off the weight so I can more safely TTC and hopefully have a safe and healthy pregnancy/baby. I started P2 on Monday and boom, cheated a bit everyday and though I've lost 4 pounds I don't feel good or strong about this. Seeing your post made me realize I can do this and I NEED to do this. I need to prove to myself that I can follow through with this and have the discipline to succeed. I want a family and the clock has almost run out of batteries

I buy my hcg from Reliable Rx and my supplies from Formagenix. It's really easy to mix and inject. Anyway, good luck and thanks for telling your story!!

I see your correct, they only supply the mixing kits. I would recommend what jsquared posts above.
