Thread: Weight remained unchanged after first day

Question Weight remained unchanged after first day

Good afternoon, This is my first time on HCG so I am still learning the ropes. I am on day 4 and every opinion I have read so far seems to be that they lost pounds after the 3rd day. I have not lost any weight and just need to make sure i am doing it right. Actually I feel bloated I measured my waist and it is 1.5 inches bigger even though I eat around 500 calories yesterday. I am in phentermine as well. I still feel hungry but I would rate my hunger at around a 6. I feel it but it is manageable. I am also a thyroid medication recommended by my HCG doctor. I know it is soon to tell with the weight but i would have loved some encouragement from the scale. Any insights you guys might have will be helpful. Thanks

If your dose is right, you will not have hunger. You should not need phentermine. Hunger suppressants mask hunger, but the fact that there is hunger is an important clue that your dose may be off. A dose either too high or too low can cause hunger.

Its important to be on the right dose so that your hunger is controlled which means you are losing the right kind of weight (not muscle mass). So you want to get that fixed right away if it is the problem.

What dose are you on? What delivery method are you using? Did you mix your solution yourself, and if so, what were the ratios of HCG to mixing solution?

Not losing weight after the first low calorie day does happen, but its not the usual. Its possible that since you have bloating that you ate something during your load that your body is sensitive or allergic to. That causes the inflammation that causes water to build up in your tissues, hence a gain. This happens because your body is trying to dilute the irritant. Whatever it is, you are likely not eating it now, so the inflammation will come down over the next day or two, resulting in water loss.

Thank you for the response. My dose is premade from a weight loss clinic doctor. I use injections that are provided by the clinic. For reference, I am currently 180 pounds and my injections say 15 units on it. I actually was not bloated until yesterday when I started. I checked my waistline on day 1 and it was 35 inches, Today its 36.5 inches. I can find out tomorrow if anything changes but I have been weighing myself all day and even though all I have consumed is 500 calories and water I am up 1 pound.

I mainly had McDonald's, Chinese food, Plantains and eggs, and some Fufu (West African pounded yams). I had a bowel movement and have lost 4 pounds so far so that was great. I still feel bloated, especially in my middle.

I suspect that 150 units means your dose is 150iu, as most clinics mix a 1:1 ratio (example: 5000iu mixed with 5ml bacteriostatic water would produce a dose of 150iu if syringe is drawn to 15. But you can ask them and confirm that 150iu is your dose.

That is a good starting dose for most people, so I would not suspect wrong dose is your issue just yet. Its more likely something you ate during the load irritated your system and it hasn't been flushed yet. Chiniese food is notorious for bringing on some bloat because of the chemicals in the sauces.

You'll drive yourself crazy weighing multiple times a day. Its best to weigh once a day, in the morning after you've been to the bathroom. That will give you the most consistent data on how much you are losing.
