    Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Surgery

Would your recommendation regarding arthroscopic surgery be similar to open surgery in regard to healing?Do I need to wait four to six weeks to start another round? Thanks in advance.

Yes, I would. Although your incisions are small, the work they do inside the shoulder is not insignificant....there's alot of tissue healing that needs to take place for you to have a good result from the surgery. I'd wait the 6 weeks.

love this forum, answers to everything. I didn't see this til now, but would have helped me earlier if hadn't already made decision not to go forward with rotator cuff surgery. I was scheduled for week after Thanksgiving, but got a second opinion early that month that convinced me not to go forward with it (I was already leery). But now I'm back in phys therapy with different provider, much more effective than original pt provider. Will be slow but definitely addressing the problems. I think this treatment will get me back in working order finally. been a year of semi-functional since the original injury last December.
