    Been away for a while

My post keeps getting chopped off after the first few words. On my laptop now to see if it makes any difference.

I'm back after being away for a while because of...stuff. Today is load day 1. I was going to post this under the April Loaders tab, but I have a couple of medical-related questions. So I thought I would put it here. I'm back on LDN for immune issues, and I think it might actually be helpful to the diet, so I'm not worried about taking it with hcg. I do have a couple of other concerns, though.

    1) Perimenopause has been kicking my butt, which is part of why I am having immune issues. It's also why I'm packing on weight like it's my job, along with a lot of other issues. The LDN is helping with some, but I have also started HRT/MHT to try and alleviate some of the rest. I have started progesterone in the past few weeks, and I will eventually add in estrogen. Will I have to stop my HRT or have incompatibility issues since HCG does have some effect on hormone levels?

    2) Gallbladder/liver issues. Thanks to recurring EBV the past 3 years, my liver has struggled some, and that has rolled over into my gallbladder. I still have it, but it is sluggish at times. I need to get the weight off. Period. But I'd also like to keep my gallbladder. I take liver supporting supplements already-- milk thistle, roasted dandelion and hickory roots, glutathione, TUDCA, etc. I have digestive enzymes. I have a footbath I can do a couple of times a week to help lower body burden so that my liver isn't as stressed. Is there anything else I can do to help support my gall bladder during the fat burning phase? Should I do short single rounds and spread them out (like no more than 23 days at a time)? And what about ox bile? I just want to maximize the benefits without making anything else worse!

I had gotten up to 207 in Jan with no diet changes; heaviest I've ever been in my life! Since starting back on LDN, the brain fog is gone, my energy is starting to come back, and I've been able to be more active. I'm counting macros now, and the progesterone is helping me sleep. Since then, I'm down 8lbs. Loading start weight this morning: 198.8. I'm hoping the HCG will get me the rest of the way and get this tire back off my waist! Goal weight: 155.

Sorry this is so long! Thank you in advance for any thoughts/suggestions!

I take LDN. I don't think it has had any effect on my rounds.

As for the other stuff, since you feel it's helping you, continue with it for a while and see if your losses are good. People that depend on their hormone meds to function don't stop them in P2. It may slow you down a little, but you'll still get decent loss overall. Of your list, only the hormones might cause an issue. I dont' think there is enough oil in the progestrone cream in the amounts prescribed to make any difference.

The most important thing for gall bladder support is staying well hydrated. Vitamin C is important too. Eat those strawberries and citrus fruits allowed and add use your whole lemon every day. Don't skimp on your veggies as the fiber from whole foods is important. Divide your menu into 4 smaller meals. That keeps bile from building up and the buildup encourages gall stones.

    Good luck on your round!

    Hi Leez,

I'm taking 100mg oral progesterone, so no oil at all. I probably won't start the estrogen til after the diet, just to make things easier. It will either be cream/gel or patch.

Adrenal fatigue is another leftover from all the viral junk, so I don't skimp on the fruits, the veggies, or the grissini (though I usually trade those for a few croutons on a salad). I need to be getting in at least 25g of fiber so I may need to supplement.

I also make sure at least one of my fruits is an apple a day and take magnesium malate, since the malic acid seems to help support liver/gallbladder as well. I'm already drinking half my body weight in fluids (coffee, teas, and water-- the water is spring water or mineral water). I'll keep an eye on Vit C.

I just wanted to see if anyone else had any tools in their toolbox that I'm not using yet, so thank you!

You can do any cracker that matches the macros of the melba/grissini. (20 calories, no fat) So choosing a wholegrain one can help a little with fiber. I like to use FinnCrisp sourdough rye crackers, but if you wanted a gluten free variety, there are several whole grain options in the LePain crackers. I like the chestnut one.

Suggestion re: adrenal fatigue. Try making 2 of your waters for the day into adrenal cocktails. It just involves adding vitamin C, potassium, and some mineral salt. You can use your lemon, and a 1/4 tsp of cream of tartar (or a 1/16th tsp nusalt) and pink salt to make one. You can also add a few shakes of NuSalt (which is pure potassium) to all your drinks to help your adrenals.

[Note: 1/16th tsp can be measured with one of those mini measuring spoons. Its the middle one. Or just use a two finger pinch.]

I hadn't thought about the grissini/substitute being another place to get in additional fiber. I'll definitely look into that!

I've done the OJ version of the adrenal cocktail before. I hadn't thought about using lemon for that! Also, can we have coconut water? A lot of people use that generally in lieu of OJ bc of the sugar. I generally use redmond real salt, or himalayan or celtic sea salt for everything. But I also bought some Seeking Health Optimal Electrolyte mix several weeks ago, so I can use that daily if need be. I have San Pellegrino mineral water here as well.

Coconut water is not P2 friendly. If you decide to try it, it would be a personal experiment.

You could also add powdered vitamin C if you want to save your lemon for something else.
