OMG I LOVE LOVE LOVE LEGEND (totally hate Tom Cruise though!)

Neverending story and flight of the navigator are awesome too!

Love that movie even though Tom cruise is a FREAK!

Don't give in, it's not worth it. My cravings went away and I cheated with watermelon and that brought them back. You can do it. Our government has allowed the food industry to make us junkies. Processed food has been the down fall of man. Low fat is touted as being so helpful* eat low fat so you won't be fat*. We bought that story even as we gained weight. I use to eat 2-3 no fat Greek yogurts a day, 18 grams of sugar per cup, and I thought I was being good. We've been lied to for many years and have to change how we eat.

    Good Morning Gals!

Its sooooo good to see you all on and posting! Welcome to all the new faces

After several interruptions, mainly parties, picnics and ALOT of booze, I am FINALLY on day 1 of my p2 round, and Im ready to get it done! I knew all of those events were coming up, and I just didnt want to set myself up for failure, so I got it out of my system, and am really ready now to do the work,,,emotionally as well as physically. Im a lil freaked out abt my loading gain, but I know this works, so Im gonna stay off the scale until next week.

My bridesmaids dress came yesterday and I had to squeeze into the sucker,,it got zipped up, but I looked and felt like a big pink stuffed sausage!LOL,,,seems like the perfect time to get this weight off,,,and get a little color, since the color of the dress really shows how pale I am.

I got the family on board for this round, and we purged the house of all ick. They will be eating the same foods as me, just alot more, and I have to say its really gonna help to have those temptations gone, esp the alchohol, because one turns into many, then I care abt nothing and eat my way through the house,,,we are now a "dry" house both with booze and naughty foods..I now have 15.4lbs to go till goal, and will be leaning on you ladies hardcore for support to get it off..I am still going to therapy and learning coping skills for my anxiety that dont involve bingeing, but its a hard habit to break, so I will be going back to the book and videos...

Hoping to chat today, nothing to do so Ill be on all day

    Brin

Today is my last loading day. I'm excited for tomorrow and hope you will all help me stay on track, like I will try to help you. I think I'm going to go to the once a week weighing thing. Is that working for anyone? Also what does everyone use to calm themselves down and keep them from turning to food? I know I've been gone a while but I hope everyone is doing well! If anyone wants to message back and forth to hold each other accountable daily let me know, I definitely need as much support as I can find.
Kahlan-Im in!!! Lets make it a goal to post AT LEAST once daily to keep eachother accountable and on track...as far as the weighing, Robin says stay off the scale, so once a week is all Ill be doing too even though it makes me anxious. As far as coping, I try to stay as busy as possible,,,being a stay at home mom, thats not always easy to do when the kids are in school and the house is quiet, but I do my best to get out of here as much as possible, even if its just going for a drive and blasting the radio, and even though its frowned upon by Robin, I set up little rewards to help keep me on track and have something to look forward to for all of my hard work that is not food related. Do little things for yourself, a mani/pedi, new shirt, facial, whatever makes you happy

Hey guys!!! It's been a while but I JUST transitioned from P2 to P3 and am about to head out next week on vacation. I lost 26 pounds my first round which could have been more if I had been more rigorous but I am trying a gentler way of living these days. I am feeling all of my compulsive stuff start to show up. I am afraid to be without the HGC and the diet regimen. I am afraid I will go crazy and just eat myself silly. PLEASE share any tips for P3 weight maintenance.

    Thanks!

Leaving the "safety" of p2 and having so many additional choices can be scary and overwhelming, esp if you are like me and have emotional issues with food as well. The good news is, it can be done.

This part is critical because it is when your body resets to a lower natural weight, so you have to be as diligent as possible to stay within that 5lb range.

Before I went on p3, I searched the forums for any tips/rules and honestly it was all a little confusing, so I kinda made up my own "rules" based on the info I could find. Maybe someone like a moderator could give you better advice, but here are a few things that worked for me,,,,and keep in mind, I didnt have a perfect p3 because of my binge eating disorder,,,had more good than bad days, but I told myself to strive for progress not perfection..

I set my calorie goal between 1500 and 1800 daily, HOWEVER, because of the emotional eating aspect and what I learned from Weight Loss Apocalypse, I followed the hunger scale as opposed to cramming in calories that my body didnt want/need..some days 1200 was plenty to keep me satisifed, and others, 1800 was needed. Give this a listen and see if it makes sense to you,,,it helped me a great deal in p3

I used the Atkins Induction food list and it was very helpful

Post EVERY DAY!! Thats what we're here for,,,advice, tips, and ESPECIALLY SUPPORT!! If your in the mood to binge, take that time to jump on here so that we can help you move past it, and cheer you on as you succeed..

Most importantly, use all the things youve learned in p2 to make this part successful,,,,be kind to yourself. This is a learning process, and with all the additional "stuff" we deal with, you may have some days where you will be battling demons over a cookie all darn day,,,if you slip and have the cookie, let it go!!! Forgive yourself, and choose not to beat yourself up and play the guilt game,,,we both know that it leads to a whole darn box, and giving up on the whole thing.....if you do resist, give yourself lots of pats on the back and hugs for using the "tools" you now have in order to cope with emotions without hurting yourself with food...PROGRESS NOT PERFECTION!!

Sorry to ramble, I hope some of this will help

    Brin
