Laura, I'm jealous! I miss p2!! I have to admit, it gives me such a feeling of control, which I love!!! LOL!!!! Great job losing your load weight on the first day!!! That is fantastic! It's supposed to get warm here today and NOT RAIN for the first time in like forever....so I'm hoping to go for a walk after work today too. I'm getting vitamin D deficient from the lack of sun around here LOL

Hi Barb! Good to hear from you. Hope you can get that walk in today.

I'm down 1.2 today. Not huge for 2nd-day results, but I'll take it! Plus, I went rogue a little yesterday. Went to the farmer's market late and knew I had to eat there or skip lunch altogether. The only protein anywhere near edible for me was gyros meat, so I had a gyros without the pita, but with the shredded greens and tzatziki sauce. Soooo good! But didn't realize how fatty that meat was until I entered it on myfitnesspal.com. Whoa! Also had a little watermelon instead of allowed fruit. Had 700 cals yesterday instead of 500. No biggie. Will aim to get back to protocol today. Not inviting my self-saboteur to stay for an extended visit.

Marisa and Kristina, come out, come out wherever you are! Hope you're doing well.

Hey Laura, I love your new picture for starters, look at 'em cheek bones! Did you get your hair cut and colored? You are glowing, girl! Those gyro must have had something to do with it, hehe.
I started the VLCD Day 1 on Monday and feel my safe haven again. Its a good thing although I haven't really weighed myself too often. This morning I woke up at 197.3 and didn't want to give any attention to any weight I "collected". Hence, I will be using this mornings' number as my first official weigh in. I have a feeling that after I hit 193 again I will feel a little better about me. I used to think I was on top of the world when I am releasing weight. Yesterday I took my dog, Nikita out for a ride to the dog park and went the long way around though the city of Colts Neck. I had so much fun driving my truck through beautiful country roads with the windows and sun roof open listening to music. I drive a stick shift by the way too so I had a dubbly fun time.

I neeeed to eat something...see you girls soon!

Hey Marisa Beauty! Good to hear from you. Haircolor was about a month ago, new cut happened the day of the photo. Thanks for the compliment. Yeah...Norwegian cheekbones.
Did you load for this round? How did it go? I know you feel you've "collected" a bunch of weight, but look at the overall picture. You really lost a LOT during your round 1. I netted a measely 20 lbs for round 1 compared to you, and I gained only 1 lb after LDW. So, you're still wrestling with Mia sometimes...it's less than before, right? All recovery is progress, not perfection. Sounds like your drive was really fun.

I'm down .8 today and happy with that. Forgot my last dose yesterday. First time that's happened. Might take an extra, small booster dose late morning today. Will search forum for what others have done. What have you done if you forget a dose?

    Hi Laura,
I'm so glad to come here and find you! Really you are so awesome and feel like I get a huge hug from you every time you write. Mia has lessened a bit and which is really good. I thought I was going to lose it yesterday but stayed really strong. I talked to my ex and he told me that he started hanging out with some new girl last week. He told me that he knew that he didn't deserve me and felt that he had actually had been changing. I was a little upset about the whole thing but it honestly must not have bothered me too much because I didn't binge and purge or do anything rash. This great guy that I am seeing, saw me right after it happened and was so cool and calm and collected and talked me through it. He was so willing to listen and was amazing!!!! I know I have something good and deserving going on so I am pretty happy. I do thank God for this.

So loading. Yes I loaded but not really in the traditional way. I just ate regular food and the most I ate was some wings and a cheeseburger. And I woke up this morning at 194.9 which isn't too bad. I also weighed myself right when I got home. Why do we weigh more at night? I was empty bellied...do you think it has to do anything with having waited tables and running around? Honest to goodness truth, I have never forgotten a dose. I think at night, would be the ideal time to forget it just because your body is trying to heal itself, you know? And you are so early in the VLCD days that I am sure you have hcg still rolling around in ya. I mean, you cant be immune already right?

I hope all is well with everyone! Hope to hear some of you lovely ladies chime in. I got to get to bed, I have work in a couple of hours. Lots of love and hugs!

    Hi Marisa,

So glad you feel supported by me. That's why we have this forum, right? I do hope you'll come here regularly, because I need and want you too, for support. I feel alone and swimming by myself when no one shows up here for days. It's been great hearing from you these last two days. Will you check in at least a few times a week, please? :-) Katz, Lildevil and others too...missing you!

VLCD6 and I stalled today, scale showing 0 change. I stalled day 6 of round 1 too. Might just be my pattern. Maybe the Whoosh Fairy is around the corner?! I feel bloated and need to move more matter if you know what I mean. That calls for my coffee cure! Also, yesterday I received the gift of a NuSkin facial. They use this electrical gadget on your face to drive the potions deep into your skin, and stimulate tissues and meridians. I get facials so infrequently, I was too much in the giddiness of the gift and didn't think about how those facial potions might stall me until afterwards. Ah well, my face feels and looks great! I don't think my missed dose the night of VLCD4 hurt me because I wasn't at all hungry yesterday. I searched the forum and most people said we had enough HCG circulating to miss a dose and not be affected (not that we should miss doses regularly).

We usually weigh more later in the day. I've always thought it was because we have food and water in our system. I NEVER weigh other than my regular time in the morning. Don't want to get bummed out.

    Have a great weekend!
    Laura

Hey Laura, I should probably do the same and stay away from the scale later in the day. I didn't drop any weight either. today as a matter of fact I gained a pound and have no reason why...I totally stuck to the protocol yesterday too. I was expecting to have at least lost another 2 lbs. Maybe I drink more water. I even cut out my second piece of bread. Maybe I should eat less fruit. Since I work at a restaurant now (not that I ever get to eat anything there anyway). But the fact that I have to run around all the time, I try to eat more like 650 calories that come from veggies fruit. Is there really anything wrong with that?
That's pretty interesting that you had the same stall on the same day of each round. I think you have done so well sticking with the protocol. Your will power is amazing and I wish I could have been more disciplined in P3 like you were.

So I am going to look up this facial you had. When your skin feels great it just makes you feel so beautiful. And feeling your stomach sink beneath your ribs. There is something that I like about that too, hehe!
Have a good weekend too Laura, and girls wherever you are!

Thanks, Marisa. I'm doing pretty well except I'm cheating here and there. I had some minor indulgences over the weekend. 1000 cals Saturday and 780 yesterday (but all P3 items). Despite that, I was -.6 Sunday morning and -1.4 this morning. Woohoo! I'll take it! -6.8 for the first week, including 2.2 load weight. That's one lb less than my R1 first week, but I guess that's to be expected given less water weight to lose and I'm starting smaller to begin with. Plus, like I said, I cheated a little this week. ;-)

Sorry about your gain. Hard to know what causes those exactly, but we all have them from time to time. You're eating bread? Hmm. Not on protocol. Was that working for you before? I would just stick to protocol foods (I don't think 650 cals should hurt though, given your job), drink 10+ glasses of water daily and boost the losses by using ACV and green tea. Hang in there!

    What up lady!
So I am losing a lb every other day and was 192.9 this morning. I started to see my ribs again, that makes me so happy. I am eating about 1 slice of bread a day, not much. And its light 45 calorie wheat bread. I am definitely not drinking enough water though. Its more like 4-6 glasses. I just can't get around to doing that at work especially when we are busy. Its finny bc during R1, I would drink water like a fish although it was never in my nature to do so. I can really go days without drinking anything.

So when you cheat, what do you eat? I haven't cheated or thought about it at all but you seem to be doing better than me this time around! Good for you Laura, you are doing super well. Have a great night.

It's cold and rainy here every single day.....and last Saturday was the first anniversary of my brothers death....that was hard on me. I had moresalt than usual, and more alcohol....lol.....but other than that, I kept it together.

Marisa, sounds like you're back on track, rockin and rollin. Good for you! You know that more water can only help. Keep a sippy water bottle at your work station? Play a game to drink a bottle every ___ hours?

Kats, sending lots of (((hugs!))) We must give ourselves permission to stray/indulge/medicate with food now and then, right? I'm so tired of living a black or white life: totally strict or totally out of control. Time to live in the balanced gray area. (But not gray as in continued gray weather, LOL!) You seem so aware and able to do what's needed to adjust.

After my first day back to protocol, I'm down 1 lb. Boring as hell, but perhaps it's worth it. Kats, I made four servings of chicken and four hamburgers and they are in the fridge for the next four days. Simple. Don't have to think about it. Trying to focus on creative endeavors and not my boring P2, LOL!

I have a scientist friend who is dissing hhcg drops. She claims they are crap despite the empirical evidence I show her of many people on this forum (including me) who have had success with them. She wants my support on her HCG diet but is dissing my methods. Pissed me off and I left a voicemail telling her so, saying I didn't feel respected. Sheesh.

It is so comforting to read this thread! I have always had an odd relationship with food...i'm an excellent binger, not a great purger (not that I never tried). My mother and sister were both anorexics (my sister was in and out of hospitals for most of our adolecents). I think part of my dramatic weight gain over the past couple of years was in rebellion against them (mom, you think i'm too heavy at 140, wait til you see what 240 looks like!).

One of the biggest things this diet has brought to me thus far is a relalisiation of just how food dependent i was. I ate when i was happy to celebrate and when i was sad to comfort, i even ate when i was angry at myself as some twisted form of self punishment. So many times a day I reach out for the food I cannot have anymore, which is forcing me to deal with (gasp) emotions that had been long buried under mountains of fat and carbs.

So not an easy journey, but a good one!
